I'm loving this idea ! It's like a breath of fresh air after all those years without the Olympics in NY state . I think it's brilliant that Assemblymember Robert Carroll is proposing a co-hosting model with NYC, they're just too big to tackle this on their own anyway . And let's be real, Lake Placid has already proven itself as a top-notch Olympic venue . The fact that it was renovated for the 2023 FISU World University Games is no joke ! As long as Governor Hochul and Mayor Devlin are on board, I'm rooting for this . And who knows, maybe it'll be a great economic boost for both NYC and Lake Placid . It's like a match made in heaven !
I'm a bit skeptical about this whole thing ... I mean, think about it, hosting the Winter Olympics is huge, but also super expensive . And what's with the co-hosting model? It sounds like a lot of work for both sides . I get that Lake Placid has some decent facilities already, but are they really up to par for something as big as the Olympics? ... Still, I guess it could be worth a shot if NYC and LP can make it work . And hey, who wouldn't want to see more events in NYC? It's already got all that amazing energy ...
