What to know about the 4 suspects in the Louvre crown jewels heist

Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau has announced preliminary charges against four suspects in connection with the recent $102 million heist at the Louvre Museum, where thieves stole a vast array of priceless crown jewels. Three of those arrested are believed to have been part of the team that broke into the museum using disc cutters and left with the stolen jewels.

The first suspect, a 34-year-old Algerian national, was arrested at Charles de Gaulle airport on October 25 after returning from a trip to Algeria, where he allegedly had no return ticket. His DNA matched one of the scooters used in the getaway, suggesting that this man may have been part of the team involved in the theft. According to authorities, the Algerian national has a history of minor offenses but is believed to be the second thief who entered the Apollo Gallery.

Another suspect, also 39 years old and a resident of Aubervilliers, was arrested on October 25 at his home. His DNA was found on one of the glass cases where the jewels were displayed as well as on some items left behind by the thieves. This man is suspected to be the second person who entered the gallery but has denied any involvement in the heist.

The latest suspect to be taken into custody is a 37-year-old man with a long history of theft convictions, including 11 previous convictions for theft alone. His DNA was found inside the basket lift used by the thieves during the heist, where they left behind a small piece of fabric and other evidence that linked him to the crime scene. Despite his own protests of innocence, this suspect faces preliminary charges related to the organized gang involved in the theft.

The fourth person accused of involvement is the partner of the 37-year-old man - a 38-year-old woman with two children who lives in La Courneuve, another northern suburb of Paris close to Aubervilliers. The woman denies any involvement but her DNA was found on the basket lift due to possible "DNA transfer", where she could have left DNA on someone or an item that later transferred onto the basket lift.

All four suspects are currently incarcerated and face preliminary charges related to organized gang theft and conspiracy, though no one has yet been formally charged with the crime.

I'm shocked by how they're cracking down on this heist! I mean, 102 million dollars is a huge amount of money ๐Ÿ’ธ. Four people, including a woman with two kids, are accused of being part of the gang ๐Ÿคฏ. It's crazy that DNA evidence linked her to the crime scene too ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. But what's wild is that one of these guys has a history of theft convictions and they still let him out? ๐Ÿค” I guess that's why they say you can't change your past, right? ๐Ÿ™„ Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out in court ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

๐Ÿšจ So I'm thinking what's crazy is how they were able to pull off this huge heist without anyone noticing until it was way too late... I mean, a $102 million robbery at the Louvre is insane! ๐Ÿคฏ And the fact that there are four suspects involved, with some of them having prior convictions for theft, just adds to the whole thing feeling really orchestrated. The DNA matches and the evidence found in the getaway car and at the scene all point to these guys being the masterminds behind this heist.

But what's also interesting is how one of the female suspects was linked to the crime via a weird "DNA transfer" scenario... like, what even is that? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Anyway, it's clear that the Paris prosecutor has been working hard to crack the case, and now we're seeing some serious charges being laid down against these four suspects.

One thing I'd love to see is more info on how they were able to avoid detection for so long... was there a mole or something? ๐Ÿค” It's definitely not the first time that a heist like this has happened in Paris, but it's still mind-blowing just how elaborate and careful these thieves seemed to be.

๐Ÿคฏ I'm shocked by this heist! $102 million is just crazy ๐Ÿ’ธ. I mean, who breaks into a museum? It's like they're trying to outsmart everyone ๐Ÿค“. But these suspects, allegedly part of an organized gang, that's a whole different story ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. The DNA evidence is pretty clear, but you can never be 100% sure, right? ๐Ÿค” I do think it's suspicious that the woman only has two kids and she was living in La Courneuve, so close to where the other suspects were arrested ๐Ÿšจ. Did they have some inside help? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ It's all a bit too convenient for my taste ๐Ÿ˜.

Man, this Louvre heist is wild ๐Ÿคฏ. I'm not surprised they got caught tho, these guys were sloppy with their DNA evidence ๐Ÿ’‰. The Algerian national's return from Algeria without a ticket was already suspicious ๐Ÿ˜. And now it turns out his DNA matches the scooter used in the getaway? That's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole ๐Ÿค”.

I'm curious how the woman got her DNA on the basket lift though, and whether that's because she was directly involved or just some weird DNA transfer ๐Ÿ’ญ. And what about the other suspects? It's not like they're exactly innocent with all those theft convictions under their belt ๐Ÿ”’.

Still, I guess this is a good reminder to always keep an eye on our cultural institutions ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ. You can never be too careful when it comes to priceless artifacts and potential thieves ๐Ÿ‘€.

i think its all unfair how this guy is being treated he had a bit of a troubled past but he's still got a future he's not the mastermind behind the whole thing, that 37 yr old guy who's got loads of theft convictions on his record seems super guilty to me they should be focusing on him instead

I'm so frustrated about this heist ๐Ÿคฏ at the Louvre Museum... I mean, what's the point of even trying to steal all those priceless jewels? ๐Ÿค‘ It's just going to end up in some black market and bring more harm than good. And to think that one of the suspects is a single mom with two kids ๐Ÿค•, just having her DNA show up on the basket lift because of some 'DNA transfer'... it's like, hello, can't we just treat people with dignity? ๐Ÿ’– Anyway, I'm glad that the police were able to catch these guys and are pressing charges ๐Ÿ’ช. But still, I wish they had more time to investigate and get to the bottom of it ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ.

OMG u guys I just can't even rn!! I was like reading about this crazy heist at the Louvre Museum and my mind is literally blown ๐Ÿ’ฅ Like who breaks into a museum and steals all those crown jewels?! ๐Ÿคฏ And now there are these four suspects and it's getting super juicy ๐Ÿฟ The guy with 11 theft convictions is like red flag waving in the air ๐Ÿšจ But what's even crazier is that his partner was arrested too and she has two kids ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Like, how do you balance family life with being part of an organized gang?! ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ And can we talk about DNA transfer for a sec?! ๐Ÿ‘€ I mean, I get it's science and all but still...who knew our DNA could be transferred to someone else or something? ๐Ÿคฏ Anywayz I guess the police are making progress and it's gonna be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ

so like, the fact that they've got a 37 year old with 11 theft convictions already, it's crazy how many times he gotta get caught lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ what's up with the DNA transfer tho, like, can you just not leave your DNA on things and stuff? ๐Ÿคฏ

Man, this Louvre heist is just mind-blowing ๐Ÿคฏ. I remember when I was a kid, my parents took me to the museum and we got to see those crown jewels up close โ€“ it was like nothing I'd ever seen before. And now they're just floating around in some thief's backpack? It's crazy ๐Ÿ˜ฑ.

I'm thinking about how these thieves must've planned this thing out for months or something. Using disc cutters, leaving behind DNA... it's all just so calculated ๐Ÿค”. But at the same time, I feel kinda bad for this poor woman who was stuck with her partner's DNA on that basket lift โ€“ I mean, she didn't do anything wrong, right? ๐Ÿ˜Š

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how these trials play out and what we learn about the masterminds behind this heist. Fingers crossed they catch the real culprits! ๐Ÿ‘ฎ

OH MY GOSH I JUST CAN'T EVEN RIGHT NOW!!! ๐Ÿคฏ THOSE SUSPECTS ARE GETTING AWAY WITH EVERYTHING AND IT'S SO UNBELIEVABLE! I MEAN WHO TAKES A $102 MILLION HEIST AT THE LOUVRE MUSEUM WITHOUT BEING CAUGHT FOR YEARS?! IT'S LIKE THEY'RE FROM A DIFFERENT PLANET OR SOMETHING!!!

AND TO THINK THAT ONE OF THE SUSPECTS HAS 11 PREVIOUS CONVICTIONS ALREADY AND STILL MANAGES TO GET AWAY WITH THIS?! I GUESS YOU COULD SAY HE'S BEEN "GOLDEN" SO FAR... ๐Ÿ˜’ BUT SERIOUSLY WHO LEAVES BEHIND A PIECE OF FABRIC FROM THEIR BASKET LIFT AT THE MUSEUM?! IT'S LIKE THEY THINK THEY'RE IN A MOVIE OR SOMETHING! ๐Ÿคช

AND WHAT REALLY GETS ME IS THAT THE WOMAN ISN'T EVEN SURE IF SHE'S INVOLVED BUT HER DNA IS STILL FOUND ON THE BASKET LIFT!!! IT'S LIKE THE SUSPECTS ARE TRYING TO DRIVE HER CRAZY OR SOMETHING!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ BUT IN ALL SERIOUSNESS I JUST HOPE THEY GET THE JUSTICE THEY DESERVE AND THAT THE STOLEN JEWELS ARE RETURNED TO THEIR RIGHTFUL OWNERS! ๐Ÿ’Ž

OMG ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ›๏ธ this is wild ๐ŸŒช๏ธ! Those thieves were so sneaky ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ but I guess you can't fool the law ๐Ÿ”’๐Ÿ’ผ. I feel bad for the DNA transfer woman ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿ˜•, she's got two kids ๐ŸŽ‚ and I'm sure they're worried sick ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ about her being in trouble ๐Ÿ’”. But let's be real ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ, stealing priceless jewels is a serious crime ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ‘‘. The guy with 11 previous theft convictions ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ˜ณ seems like the most guilty ๐Ÿค‘, but we'll have to wait and see how it all plays out ๐ŸŽฌ.

omg this is wild! ๐Ÿคฏ i mean, $102 million heist? that's like, insane! and these guys were so clever, using disc cutters and leaving behind just a tiny piece of fabric... lol what were they thinking?! ๐Ÿ™„ anyway, it's kinda crazy how the DNA matched up with some of the suspects... like, the woman who lives in La Courneuve, she didn't even commit any crimes, but her DNA showed up on the basket lift... that's just wild! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ and poor guy from Charles de Gaulle airport, he was just coming back from a trip and got arrested for no reason ๐Ÿšซ. anyway, can't wait to see how this all plays out... fingers crossed justice is served! ๐Ÿ‘ฎ

so these guys are caught but like what's really going on here? ๐Ÿค” they're all connected through DNA but it's kinda weird that 3 of them were arrested at the airport or their homes without any issues... shouldn't they have had more security checks? ๐Ÿšซ and another thing, how did this one guy get in so easily with a no return ticket? ๐Ÿ›ซ๏ธ

anyway, i just drew a quick diagram to represent the whole situation:

```
+---------------+
| Algerian |
| national |
+---------------+
v
```

it's all a bit suspicious... ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

omg, 1 in 5 museum heists gets solved thanks to DNA evidence lol ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ stats say 75% of cases like this get cracked within the first year of investigation btw did u know that 40% of thieves are caught because of a single mistake? like this guy who forgot his return ticket or something ๐Ÿ˜…

anywayz, it's crazy how these suspects' DNA was found on some major evidence points lol. and the fact that they're not even trying to deny involvement is so sus ๐Ÿค‘. but, let's talk about the stats: did u know that 80% of thieves are repeat offenders? like, this guy has 11 theft convictions already and he's part of a gang now... ๐Ÿคฏ

and can we talk about how these suspects' lives are literally being turned upside down? I mean, they've got kids to think about now lol. the stats say that the average sentence for someone caught in a museum heist is around 10 years in prison ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ

the whole thing is still super fishy ๐ŸŸ my mind keeps going back to how they managed to break into that museum without anyone noticing ๐Ÿคฏ i mean, it's not like they just snuck in during the day or something - we're talkin' about a place with some of the most advanced security systems in the world! ๐Ÿšช how did they even get past all that? and what's up with the DNA evidence? is it really as cut-and-dried as the authorities are makin' it out to be? ๐Ÿ’ก

๐Ÿค” I'm thinking about this whole thing - it's like, what's the deal with the 'DNA transfer' excuse? Like, if your DNA is on a piece of evidence that was handled by someone else, how does that become linked to you? ๐Ÿคท It sounds fishy. And why are we so quick to assume everyone involved is part of some organized gang just because there's DNA evidence? I mean, can't people have contaminated DNA for totally legit reasons?

And what about the guy with 11 previous theft convictions? Like, shouldn't he be a priority suspect? But nope, his partner gets arrested instead. It feels like they're going after someone who might not even be that involved in the whole thing. I'm not saying the woman didn't transfer DNA on her own, but it seems suspicious to me.

Also, $102 million is just crazy. Like, what's the point of stealing all those crown jewels? Is it just for the thrill or something? It feels like a really high-stakes game and we're only starting to figure out who's in it. ๐Ÿค‘

omg u wont believe wut just happened ๐Ÿคฏ like 4 ppl got arrested for stealin a 102 million dollar heist at the louvre museum! i know thats crazy talk... the first guy they caught is from algeria and his dna was found on one of the scooters they used to escape... that's wild. and theres this other dude who lives in paris who has like 11 convictions for theft alone ๐Ÿ˜‚ what a history. but u gotta feel bad for the lady who's not even guilty, her DNA got mixed up w/ some guy and now shes stuck ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ anyway, these ppl r behind bars now and hopefully they get whats comin to them... ouch ๐Ÿ’ธ

I mean, can you believe how quickly they caught these guys? It's like, 4 people and they all had DNA links or something that tied them to the heist... ๐Ÿคฏโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I'm not saying I condone theft or anything, but come on! A $102 million heist is crazy! The worst part is this one guy, the woman, she's got two kids and a life to think about now. Does her DNA transfer thing even make sense? ๐Ÿค”

I'm so surprised the police didn't think of the most obvious person - the woman! I mean, come on, she's got two kids, a job, and a clean record... but still they accuse her? ๐Ÿ˜’ DNA transfer is just an excuse to pin something on someone who doesn't fit the typical thief profile. And let's be real, it's just a coincidence that all these guys have matching DNA from random places - not exactly motive-proof if you ask me! ๐Ÿค” What about looking for other suspects with more obvious connections? This whole thing feels like a case of sloppy investigation to me...
