The 51% - Why public transport fails to protect women

omg 51% is crazy! i think it's so unfair that women have to put up with this stuff on their daily commutes, you know? 🤯 like why cant we just have safe transport systems where everyone can feel comfortable and not scared all the time?

i've been thinking, maybe its not just about having more women on the transport system, but also about making sure that spaces are designed with them in mind. like, have u ever noticed how hard it is to find a seat or a quiet spot on a train? 🚂😒

and omg the idea of women-only carriages sounds so cool! i've actually heard of some cities having those already, but its still not enough, right? we need to do more and make sure that our transport systems are safe and accessible for everyone!

i wonder if its also a problem with society in general, like how we view women's safety and what we expect from them on the streets. 🤔 do u think thats part of the issue too?

I'm so frustrated with the state of public transport in general 😩🚗. I mean, how can you expect women to feel safe on buses and trains when there are no dedicated spaces? It's like, we're expected to just deal with it or find our own way around the system. But what if we don't speak the language fluently? What if we get lost in a new city? It's not fair that we have to navigate these systems on our own.

And yeah, I totally agree that public transport needs an overhaul 🤯💡. We need more flexible options, like adjustable seats or quieter cars during peak hours. It's not just about women, either - anyone who feels uncomfortable or vulnerable in a crowded space deserves better.

I'm also kinda skeptical about these "women-only carriages" idea 🚫👎. I mean, what happens when they're full and there are emergency situations? Don't we need more comprehensive solutions that address the root causes of harassment instead of just isolating women further?

OMG, 51% of women on public transport are getting harassed is crazy 😱! I mean, can't we just have safe spaces for everyone?! 🚫👩‍💻 It's not like it's a new issue, but the numbers are shocking and they're increasing too. I think it's so unfair that cities still haven't implemented women-only carriages like Paris has already done. And yeah, infrastructure is outdated 🤦‍♀️ - it's time for some serious updates! I mean, Japan and Mexico have been doing it for ages, why can't we? The fact that men are more comfortable using public transport is just a excuse, we need to make changes regardless 💪🏽🚂.
