Tehran’s foreign minister warns they’re ready to attack US bases in Middle East if Trump strikes Iran

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made a chilling warning to the White House: if President Trump orders an attack on Iran, Tehran will not hesitate to retaliate by striking US military bases in the Middle East. "It would not be possible to attack American soil," Araghchi said during an interview with Qatari Al Jazeera television, but added that the Islamic Republic would target US bases stationed in neighboring countries. The distinction is clear: Araghchi emphasized that Iran will not attack its neighbors, but will focus on targeting US military installations within those countries.

The latest threat from Tehran comes as tensions between the two nations have escalated over nuclear enrichment talks. Despite ongoing negotiations, Iran has refused to budge on its stance, leading the US to flex its military muscles by flying fighter jets in the Arabian Sea. The move is seen as a show of force, and has heightened concerns about the potential for conflict.

In response, Trump signed an executive order threatening additional 25% tariffs on countries that continue to do business with Iran. The order reaffirmed the "ongoing national emergency with respect to Iran" and noted that the president may modify it if circumstances change.

The US has also shot down an Iranian drone after it "aggressively approached" the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, according to the US military's Central Command. The incident highlights the growing tensions between the two nations and raises fears about the potential for conflict in the region.

Tehran's response to US aggression is a familiar one: when faced with perceived threats, Iran has historically retaliated by targeting US interests in the region. The Islamic Republic struck a US base in Qatar after it joined Israel's 12-day war against Iran in June, demonstrating its willingness to use force to defend itself.

As the standoff between the US and Iran continues, analysts warn of the potential for catastrophic consequences if tensions escalate further. With both nations dug in and refusing to back down, the situation is precarious at best. One thing is certain: the world will be watching with bated breath as this crisis unfolds.

dude I'm only reading about this now lol like 2 days late but yeah it's crazy how tensions between Iran & US are escalating so fast... I don't think targeting military bases in other countries is a good look for either side tho 🤔 they need to find a way to talk this out before things get really ugly 💬

.. think about it 🤔, we're living in a time where the threat of war is always looming over us like a dark cloud ⛈️... if Iran does retaliate against US bases in the Middle East, what's to stop the cycle from repeating itself? 💥 I mean, we've seen it happen before - the US has been involved in some serious conflicts in the region, and Iran has fought back. It's like a never-ending game of chicken 🐓... but at what cost? ⚖️ We're talking about human lives, economic devastation, and who knows what other consequences. And for what? Over nuclear enrichment talks? 🤷‍♂️ It feels like we're just dancing around the same old issues, not really getting anywhere 😬.

I'm telling ya, this whole Iran-US thing is gonna blow up soon 🚨. Trump's all like "we're tough" and then he goes ahead and flies fighter jets in the Arabian Sea? Like, what's the point of that, dude? Just trying to provoke some action from Iran? And now they're threatening those US bases in the Middle East? That's just asking for trouble 🤦‍♂️.

And let's not forget, Iran's not gonna back down either. They've been saying they won't attack their neighbors, but we all know that's just a ploy to get us to lower our guard. I mean, history has shown us what happens when you mess with Iran - they'll strike back hard and fast 💥.

I'm worried about the 25% tariffs too, that's just gonna make things worse. And don't even get me started on the USS Abraham Lincoln incident... like, how does an Iranian drone even think it can approach a carrier like that? 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, I'm pretty sure this whole thing is gonna end in disaster. Mark my words, it's gonna be a catastrophe 😬. We should just sit back and watch as the world burns...

🚨😬 I'm getting some major anxiety vibes from this whole US-Iran standoff. Like, what's next? 😅 Trump's all about showing strength and all, but I think he's playing with fire here. Iran's not messing around when it comes to defending itself. 🤖 They've got a history of retaliating when threatened, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

And let's be real, the US is basically doing the same thing they're accusing Iran of - flexing its military muscles. The 25% tariffs on countries with ties to Iran? That just seems like another way for Trump to get his pound of flesh without actually doing anything concrete. 🤑

The world needs to calm down and start thinking about the potential consequences here. We could be looking at a major conflict that would affect everyone, not just the US and Iran. It's like, what's the end game here? 😕 Can't we all just get along? 💬

I'm getting a little worried about the whole US-Iran thing 🤯, but I think there's gotta be some way to defuse the tension without anyone getting hurt, you know? Like, what if they just sat down for a calm conversation and worked out their differences? But at the same time, Iran's been in some tough spots before and has always found ways to protect itself. It's like, you can't blame them for standing up for themselves, right? 🤷‍♂️ The US is flexing its muscles too much, but maybe they're just trying to show that they mean business? Either way, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a peaceful resolution 💕. And let's be real, 25% tariffs aren't gonna solve anything... it's all just a big mess 🤦‍♂️
