Study finds slightly higher risk of autism diagnosis in areas with more lithium in drinking water, but experts say more research is needed | CNN

🤔 I'm not convinced by this study yet... they're saying a 24-26% increased risk, but that's still pretty small, right? And what's the exact mechanism here? How does a tiny bit of lithium in water somehow lead to autism? They need more than just an association to prove causation. And what about all those other environmental exposures linked to ASD? Can't we be cautious about jumping on this one bandwagon? We should be looking for solid evidence, not just correlations 📊

ugh I dont get why they cant just say if theres a direct link or not lol so its 24-26% more risk but does that mean im def gonna have a child with autism cuz i drank water with like normal amount of lithium 🤔🌊? i thought we just wanted to keep our kids safe from pollution and stuff, now we gotta worry about lithium in water too? what even is the safe limit for humans lol?

OMG, thats soooo weird! 🤯 Lithium levels in drinking water might be linked 2 higher autism diagnoses? Like, what even is the connection? 😕 I mean, I know some ppl take lithium 4 med purposes, but do we really need 2 worry about it in our water? 🤔 Its like, a 24-26% increase risk? That sounds kinda high, don't u think? 🤷‍♀️ And what about all the other environmental exposures that are connected 2 ASD? Like, pesticides, air pollution, and phthalates? R we just gonna keep guessing till we figure out whats goin on? 💡 Idk, seems like we need more research ASAP! 🚀

I'm not a fan of this one 🤔... I mean, think about it, we're already worried enough about what's in our tap water, now we gotta worry about lithium? Like, how much more can our bodies handle? And what about pregnant mamas who are already super vulnerable? It's like, okay, maybe there's a connection, but do we really need to freak out just yet? I'd want to see some more concrete evidence before we start adjusting our water supplies 💧.
