Spectacular aurora captured from space by Russian cosmonaut – video

omg can't even right now I'm living vicariously through @AlexanderGerst's space adventure πŸš€πŸŒŒ...I mean who needs a vacation when you've got a front row seat to the aurora borealis?! the ISS is literally the ultimate glamping spot, 250 miles above the earth's surface and still getting the best views 🀯. seriously though, can we get some more cosmonauts sharing their space experiences on social media? it's like they're hiding a whole galaxy of cool behind those NASA walls 😜

OMG 🀩 just watched the most epic vid of the aurora borealis from space πŸš€πŸŒŒ Alexander Gerst is literally a lucky dude to get such sick views from the ISS ! I mean, can you even imagine seeing that up close? The colors, the movement... it's like nothing we've ever seen before on Earth 🌊. And did you know that NASA says it's caused by charged particles from the sun interacting with our magnetic field? Mind blown 🀯! This is why space exploration is so important for us, we get to see things that are literally out of this world πŸš€πŸ’«

🌌 "The universe is not only much stranger than we think, it is stranger than we can think." 🀯 This footage of the aurora borealis from space just blows my mind! I mean, can you even put into words how breathtaking that view must've been for Gerst? The fact that it's happening 250 miles above our planet and looking like that... it's just wild. And to think we're still learning about this phenomenon, trying to figure out the science behind it... πŸš€

πŸš€ OMG, can you even imagine being like 250 miles above Earth and seeing that?! 🌠 It's like the whole universe is putting on a light show just for you! I mean, I've seen some crazy stuff online, but this is literally out of this world πŸ˜‚. The way it looks all swirly and green/purple, it's like something straight from a sci-fi movie. And can you imagine being part of that experience? 😲 Alexander Gerst must be living the dream! πŸ™Œ

Ugh what's the point? Aurora borealis is just another reminder that our planet is still pretty messed up πŸŒŠπŸ’”. Like we're basically sitting in space watching some sick light show, but down on Earth, climate change is ruining the very thing that makes it all worth seeing... I mean, have you seen the pics of the polar ice caps lately? Not good πŸ˜•. And this is just a distraction from what's really going on πŸ€”. But hey, at least Gerst got to see it up close and get some sick footage πŸ“Έ.
