South Florida farmers work around the clock to protect crops from arctic blast - WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports | Fort Lauderdale

πŸ₯—πŸ˜¬ a frosty future 🀠 farmers are going nuts over this arctic blast πŸ˜‚ [Image of a farmer in a bright orange jumpsuit, wielding a large pair of pruning shears] πŸ’ͺ meanwhile, melons on the back of a truck πŸ‰πŸšš gotta stay warm and keep it movin' πŸ”₯ [GIF of a thermometer plummeting down] ❄️‍♂️

Ugh this is so crazy!! 🀯 I mean, I get that farmers need to take care of their crops but come on! Arctic blasts are no joke! ❄️ The fact that these farmers are literally working non-stop to try and save their harvests is just insane... they're basically putting in overtime without a break! πŸ’ͺ I feel for them, though - the thought of all those crops freezing up and being ruined is a nightmare. And it's not just about the farmers, either... if they can't meet their targets, that means people are gonna be stuck with no winter veggies πŸ₯¬! It's like, what even is the point of having farms if we're just gonna let them fail? πŸ˜• I hope Torbert Farms makes it through the weekend without losing too much, but honestly, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all these farmers! 🀞

Ugh, I feel so bad for these farmers πŸ€•. Arctic blasts are no joke, especially when it comes to crops. They're already dealing with hurricane damage, now this? It's like the weather is just too much for them. I hope they can get everything harvested and saved before the cold sets in. Covering produce with tarpaulins or bringing them indoors is a good idea, but it's not enough if the temps drop below freezing. The whole country's winter veggies rely on these guys, so it's a big deal. Fingers crossed they can pull off a successful harvest weekend and keep their crops from getting damaged 🀞

omg, these farmers are literally putting in overtime for their crops 🀯🌾 like who needs a weekend off anyway? i feel for them tho, arctic blasts are super harsh on plants. tbh, south florida is already super hot so it's weird they'd have to deal with cold temps too ❄️. but idk if covering produce in tarpaulins is enough... how much damage can the frost do? 2-3 days without heat would be a disaster for all those melons πŸ‰πŸ˜¨
