It's not like you can just tune in on TV or radio updates and be done with it. The whole point of booking a room with pitch view is to watch the live action, right?! 
It's like they're expecting guests to put their own entertainment show on hold for the sake of some outdated rule. 
I'm all for safety first, but this just feels like an overkill. Can't they just find a compromise or work out an alternative solution?
