Sadiq Ali Company: Tell Me review – poignant tale of sex, revelry and glistening abs amid the 80s Aids crisis

I'm totally blown away by Sadiq Ali's latest creation 'Tell Me'. I mean, the way he tackles this super tough topic like HIV diagnosis without shying away from the harsh realities is just incredible 🤯. The show's atmosphere is so dark and intense, it's like you're right there with Phoebe Knight on her journey of self-discovery 🌑. And that performance by Sadiq Ali? Mind-blowing 💥. I love how he weaves in the historical context of the 80s AIDS crisis without being too preachy or heavy-handed. It's like, you get the message but also have room to breathe and process everything that's happening on stage 🙏. The only thing that was a bit confusing for me was when it got a bit dark and murkier towards the end... felt like it could've gone a little further? But overall, 'Tell Me' is just an incredible piece of theatre that I think everyone needs to see 🎭💖.

I'm loving how 'Tell Me' is shedding light on the stigmatised topic of HIV diagnosis 🌟. As someone who's always been passionate about representation in art, I think Sadiq Ali's portrayal is both authentic and thought-provoking. The use of physicality to represent resilience is particularly striking – who wouldn't be inspired by his bod after being suspended from a pole? 😂 But seriously, it's great to see an artist using their platform to tackle tough subjects like this one. I'm excited to see where Sadiq Ali's talent takes him next! 💪

I just watched this performance 'Tell Me' by Sadiq Ali at the Norfolk and Norwich Festival and I'm totally blown away! 🤯 It's so powerful and emotional, I felt like I was right there with Phoebe Knight on her journey of self-discovery. The way they used music, sound, set, text, and dance to convey the characters' emotions is just genius 🎵💫. I love how Sadiq Ali masterfully wove in the historical context of the 1980s AIDS crisis without making it too heavy or preachy. It's a really important story that needs to be told and 'Tell Me' does just that ❤️. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next! 💪
