so i'm reading about this pontiac mayoral candidate michael mcguinness and it seems like there's some drama going on 
... he got convicted of some stuff back in 2011 but his court records are now sealed which is causing some problems 
. apparently, there's a law in michigan that makes it so felons can't run for public office unless they've served their whole sentence and been cleared by the courts 
. this candidate is trying to be all like 'oh no i'm eligible' but honestly it seems kinda suspicious that his records got sealed
