Philadelphia Orchestra sets 2026-27 season with Beethoven’s Ninth, Mahler, world premieres and ‘Star Wars’

OMG you guys 🤩, I just saw the lineup for the Philly Orchestra's 2026-27 season and I'm DYING 💀🎵! Beethoven's Ninth Symphony on opening night is already giving me LIFE 😂, and the fact that they're premiering Joe Hisaishi's new work "Orbis" is like, totally exciting 🤯! Did you know that Beethoven's Ninth was written in just 9 days? Mind. Blown.

And, oh man, the guest artists are insane 🙌! Emanuel Ax and Yuja Wang are performing solo concerts, and Simon Rattle is back for the first time in a decade 🎉! The season also has some awesome holiday programs, including Bach's "Christmas Oratorio" 🎄.

I'm also low-key excited about the Star Wars: A New Hope screening 💫. Who doesn't love a good ol' John Williams score? And, can we talk about the diversity of performances this year? From classical to pop culture, there's something for everyone 👍.

Here are some fun stats to keep in mind:

* The Philadelphia Orchestra performs over 200 concerts per year 🤯.
* Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is one of the most performed symphonies in the world 🌎.
* The orchestra has a global following with concerts sold out worldwide 📈.

I'm planning on getting tickets ASAP 💸! Who else is going? 🤗
