Opponents label Jenrick a 'chancer' and a 'charlatan' as he defects to Reform – as it happend

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing 🤔. So, Robert Jenrick is basically switching teams from the Tories to Reform UK? I mean, he's been pretty vocal about his views on Brexit and immigration, but now it feels like he's just looking for a way out of a difficult spot 😐.

Anna Turley's call him out as a "shameless chancer" is fair imo. He did get sacked by Kemi Badenoch after allegedly plotting against her, so you can't say his reasons for defecting to Reform UK aren't self-serving 🤑.

It's also interesting that Reform UK is welcoming him with open arms. Maybe they think he can bring some much-needed attention and credibility to their party? Or maybe they're just trying to score a PR win by having a high-profile defector join their ranks 🤷‍♂️.

Anyway, it's definitely got everyone talking and raises questions about the future of the right wing in British politics. I'm curious to see how this all plays out 💬

I mean come on... what's going on with Jenrick? 🤯 One minute he's a loyal Tory MP, the next he's running off to Reform UK like they're his second family or something 🤷‍♂️. I don't get it - does he not care about the party he just left behind? 😒 And what's really going on here, is this some kind of sick power play between Jenrick and Kemi Badenoch? Because honestly, that whole thing with him getting sacked over some alleged plot... 🙄 I need more info than just "Tory leader knew but didn't do anything" 🤔

And Anna Turley calling out Jenrick as a "shameless chancer"? ⚠️ now she's got my attention! Because if he really is that self-serving, does anyone trust him to actually make a difference in Britain? 🤷‍♂️ I'm torn between feeling bad for the poor guy who can't seem to stick with one party... and being like "yaaas Anna Turley told you so!" 😂
