I'm loving this new development
! As someone who's lived in NYC my whole life, I've seen those street vendors struggle for years. They're not just peddling wares on the sidewalk, they're providing a vital service to our community. It's about time we give them some much-needed respect and support
.
I mean, think about it - 20,000+ unlicensed vendors, most of 'em operating in the shadows? That's not exactly what I'd call "quality of life"
. And now, with this new law, they'll get the training, inspections, and oversight they need to operate safely and sustainably. It's about time we got our act together as a city
.
I'm all for helping these vendors thrive - it's good for business, it's good for the community... and let's be real, it's just plain fair
. I've seen those sidewalks get clogged up with street carts and whatnot, but now we can work towards creating a more harmonious coexistence between our vendors and local businesses
. Kudos to Council Speaker Julie Menin for pushing this through - she's a total rockstar
