I think it's about time we start keeping tabs on how much force ICE agents are allowed to use. It's crazy that they can just go around doing whatever they want in the name of "protecting" us, but really it sounds like they're just trying to intimidate and control people who don't fit into their narrow view of what America should be. I mean, come on, a verbal warning before using force? That's not exactly a radical concept

. And what about all the people who have been hurt or killed by ICE agents in the past? We need to make sure that we're holding our leaders accountable for their actions and demanding better from our law enforcement agencies.
I'm also worried about the fact that this bill has Republican support, but it's still being pushed through a Republican-majority House of Representatives. I guess you could say that's what they mean by "bipartisan"

. But seriously, it's time for us to start having some real conversations about how we want our immigration policies to be enforced and who gets to decide on those policies.
This bill might not be perfect, but it's a good starting point. We need more bills like this, ones that are pushing for accountability and transparency in the way that ICE operates. And we definitely need to start questioning why we're giving so much power to an agency that has such a track record of abuse
