New Bill Would Put Basic Limits on ICE Use of Force After Minneapolis Killing

just saw this news 🤯... i think its about time we take a closer look at how our government agencies are handling immigrant issues its been way too much violence from ICE agents and it affects everyone, not just those going through immigration drama 🌎👮‍♀️ if we want to address the root of the problem, we gotta dismantle these departments like DHS that give agents so much power... what's the point of having a government if we cant trust our own people? 😒
 
Ugh, another bill 🤦‍♂️! Can't we just have some real reform around here? I mean, 11 co-sponsors for a bill that supposedly aims to curb "lawlessness" and "violence"? That's like saying "oh no, my neighbor is being too loud, can you help me with that"... 😒. It's all about creating more bureaucracy and oversight. What's next, a new set of rules for ICE agents on how many times they can use pepper spray? 🚫

And let's be real, if we're going to limit the use of force, we need to address the root causes of why these agents are using it in the first place. Like, what's with all the criticism towards Trump? Can't we focus on actual solutions instead of just touting "oversight"? 🙄 It's not like this bill is going to magically fix everything...
 
🤔 I'm kinda thinking that this new bill might actually bring some positive change to how ICE officers handle situations... I mean, can you blame them for wanting to feel safer on the job? 🙏 But at the same time, it does seem like we need more accountability and transparency when it comes to law enforcement. I've read about all these cases of excessive force and it's just so sad 🤕. If this bill passes, it could be a step in the right direction towards making sure our law enforcement agencies are using de-escalation techniques instead of resorting to violence 💡. And who knows, maybe it'll even inspire some positive change from the top down... 👀
 
I think it's about time we start keeping tabs on how much force ICE agents are allowed to use. It's crazy that they can just go around doing whatever they want in the name of "protecting" us, but really it sounds like they're just trying to intimidate and control people who don't fit into their narrow view of what America should be. I mean, come on, a verbal warning before using force? That's not exactly a radical concept 🤔. And what about all the people who have been hurt or killed by ICE agents in the past? We need to make sure that we're holding our leaders accountable for their actions and demanding better from our law enforcement agencies.

I'm also worried about the fact that this bill has Republican support, but it's still being pushed through a Republican-majority House of Representatives. I guess you could say that's what they mean by "bipartisan" 🤑. But seriously, it's time for us to start having some real conversations about how we want our immigration policies to be enforced and who gets to decide on those policies.

This bill might not be perfect, but it's a good starting point. We need more bills like this, ones that are pushing for accountability and transparency in the way that ICE operates. And we definitely need to start questioning why we're giving so much power to an agency that has such a track record of abuse 🤷‍♀️.
 
Wow 😮 this is crazy! The way DHS agents are using excessive force on people it's just not right. I'm all for keeping them accountable and making sure they use the minimum amount of force necessary. It's like, if you're going to detain someone, at least try to identify yourself first, you know? 💼 And collecting data on this stuff is a great idea too. You can't just sweep it under the rug and expect everything to be okay. The fact that there are 11 co-sponsors for this bill is awesome! 👏

And I'm loving how Representative Ramirez is all about holding people accountable, even if it means going against her own party sometimes. It's like, someone has to stand up for what's right, you know? 🙌
 
I feel really bad about what's been happening with ICE agents using too much force on people they're supposed to be helping 🤕... like Renee Good's case in Minneapolis was super sad and no one should have died. I think this new bill from Rep Ramirez is a good start, it's not perfect but at least it tries to make sure agents only use the right amount of force and stuff. It's kinda crazy how much abuse there's been by DHS agents and I'm surprised more people aren't speaking out about it... my friends who went to college in IL think Rep Ramirez is doing a solid thing, even if it might not pass through Congress.
