I'm still trying to process this whole Olympic thing...
I mean, the ceremony in Milan was like a big party with Italian icons and all, but what's up with all those empty seats?
Some countries not showing up is just weird, especially Greece and Albania. That Parade of Nations part didn't feel too special to me either... the energy was kinda low-key.
But on a more positive note, I loved the cultural vibes they had going on, from Da Vinci to Puccini to Mariah Carey
. It's awesome that Italy got to showcase its rich culture and heritage like that. And hey, at least Andrea Bocelli killed it with "Nessun Dorma"
.
The multi-site format is also a cool idea, but it felt a bit rushed during the ceremony... maybe they could've taken more time to really make each segment shine?
Still, overall I think it was a solid start for the Winter Olympics. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly from here on out
