Mohamed Salah returns and sets up Ekitiké to help Liverpool beat Brighton

Liverpool returned to winning ways as they comfortably beat Brighton 3-0, with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah playing a crucial role in their comeback from adversity.

Salah's return from injury was met with a rapturous reception from the Anfield faithful as he came off the bench to make his mark on the game. The speedy forward, who had previously been linked with potential exits from the club, gave an energetic and unselfish display that left fans singing his name.

Salah won his third Premier League assist of the season when his low cross was headed home by Hugo Ekitiké in the 35th minute, with the French striker rising completely unmarked at the back post. Just minutes later, a corner kick from Salah led to Ekitiké's second goal of the game, as he volleyed home from close range.

The victory marked Liverpool's third consecutive clean sheet, a feat they have achieved only three times this season. The Reds' manager, Arne Slot, will be delighted with his team's performance, which showcased their ability to move forward despite setbacks.

Salah himself seemed to have left the drama of his situation behind, as he came off the bench to lead by example and celebrate what can only be described as a welcome return to form. The 33-year-old showed signs that he still has plenty to give for the Reds, leaving fans hopeful that this will mark a renewed phase in his career.

It was also a statement victory from Liverpool, who demonstrated their resilience in the face of adversity, a quality that Slot's team have been working on since their last defeat. They took control early and never looked back, with Ekitiké's goals proving to be the difference between the two teams.

I'm so glad Salah is finally back to his old self... or at least what passes for it nowadays 🙄. 33 and still getting assists like it's nobody's business! 💨. The team's defense was looking a bit wonky, but hey, they still managed to shut out Brighton, so that's a plus ⭐️. Arne Slot must be doing something right... or maybe he's just lucky 🔮. Either way, I'm loving the resurgence of Salah and Ekitiké's goals are always a treat 😊. Maybe Liverpool is finally back on track? 🤞

😊 Salah is defo the real MVP right now, I mean he came off the bench and just dominated the game! 🤩 His energy on the field was infectious and it's clear he still has that magic 💫. I'm loving the way he's been playing lately, always gives 110% and never gives up 💪. And honestly, it's great to see him finally back to his old self after all the drama with injuries and whatnot 🙏. The fans are going wild for him again and it's hard not to join in on that excitement 😆. Liverpool's defense was solid as usual, but let's be real Salah is the one making those players look good 🔥!

👍 The fact that Salah is back on form after dealing with some drama off the pitch is a huge plus for Liverpool! He always brings so much energy and skill to the game 🏃‍♂️, and it was great to see him get a warm welcome from the fans at Anfield. His assist and goals were totally deserved, and it's awesome that he's left his personal issues behind 💪. The team's resilience is also really inspiring - they bounced back strong after some tough times earlier this season 💫. Let's hope Salah can stay injury-free and keep up this great form for the Reds! 🙌

🚀 Just watched that game and I'm loving Salah's comeback 🤩! 3-0 win is insane, especially considering they were down earlier 😅. His assist ratio this season is on fire 🔥 3rd Premier League assist of the season already? He's still got it 💪! And what a display from Ekitiké 🙌. Liverpool's defense has been solid lately 🛡️ 3 consecutive clean sheets? That's impressive 😮. Arne Slot must be proud of his team 💯. The stats are in: Salah's average goal involvement per game is up by 20% since he returned to the pitch ⚽️, and Ekitiké has scored 6 goals in the last 5 games 🎯! Definitely a statement win from Liverpool 🔊.

I'm so stoked for Salah right now! 🤩 He came off the bench and completely turned it around for them. I mean, who needs a pre-game hero when you've got a player like that just waiting in the wings? 😂 The way he moved on the pitch was pure magic – his energy is infectious! And that assist he set up for Ekitiké was sick! 🤯 The fact that he's still getting it done at 33 years old is insane. I'm loving every minute of this Salah revival story! 💛

omg I'm so hyped for Liverpool right now! Salah is literally back to his old self 🤩 he came in off the bench and just took over the game 🔥 that assist was pure magic ✨ and Ekitiké's goals were amazing too, he's definitely a star in the making ⭐️ this win is huge for the Reds, they showed everyone what they're made of 💪 and Arne Slot must be so proud of his team for bouncing back from adversity 💕 Salah just seems to have left all the drama behind him and is now focused on helping the team succeed 🙏 fingers crossed he keeps this up! 😁

Ekitiké's goals were sick too, but let's be real, Salah was the real MVP 🤴♂️!!! I love how he just went out there and gave his all, no drama or anything! this is exactly what we needed to see from him. he's back and better than ever! 💪🏽💫
