Wow! These athletes are so brave to speak up like that 
. I feel for them, though - it's hard enough being an athlete without having to deal with all this drama on top 
. It's interesting how the Olympics can be a platform for people to express themselves and their values 
. Maybe we should all take a cue from these athletes and just be honest about what we believe in

, like it's not that deep. They're just gonna wear the flag and pretend everything is fine. Newsflash: nobody likes your politics when you're trying to be patriotic 
. And another thing, if they don't want to represent the country, maybe they shouldn't compete for Team USA in the first place 
. I mean, it's a competition, not a moral compass. Let them focus on winning medals instead of trying to send a message

I feel for these athletes! They're caught between being proud to represent their country on the world stage, but not necessarily supporting all the policies that come with it . It's like, they're still Americans too, you know? 
They deserve to express themselves without fear of judgment or backlash 
. And honestly, I think it's awesome that they're using their platform to speak out on issues that matter to them

I'm feeling kinda torn too when it comes to wearing that red, white, and blue 
. Like, on one hand, it's super cool to represent my country and show off our awesomeness , but on the other hand, there are some super serious issues going on here 
... especially with immigration 
. I'm all about being proud of who I am and where I come from , but at the same time, I don't want to be part of a system that's hurting people

. like how can one person be patriotic but also feel heartbroken over stuff that's happening? I mean I know we've got some major issues in the US right now, but it seems like everyone's getting really divided about it and what's even crazier is that these athletes are having to deal with it on the biggest stage ever

like, if you're gonna wear something that represents your country, shouldn't you be proud of everything it stands for? 
I feel like we should just want the best for everyone, not get all divided about it 
but one thing's for sure: I'm gonna be watching and hoping that everyone can just get along I'm kinda surprised athletes are feeling this way. Like, isn't the Olympics all about being part of one big global community? But maybe that's just an idealist in me... I don't know if I'd want to represent a country that feels divided from itself like that. It's not exactly inspiring, you know? And what's with the whole flag thing? Does wearing it automatically mean you're represeniting everything about that country? I guess it just goes to show how complex these issues are...
