Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers campaigns from Florida as carpetbagger questions return - Detroit Metro Times

Ugh, this guy is just so desperate 🙄... I mean, can't he just own up to his Florida roots already? It's not like it's a secret or something. He's been living in his beach house for years and now suddenly claims to be a "born and raised Michigander"? Give me a break 🙃. And don't even get me started on the whole "carpetbagger" thing... yeah, that's exactly what he is - someone who's trying to make a quick buck off of Michigan's politics without putting in any actual work or commitment.

And I'm so tired of politicians using this deflect-and-attack tactic 🤯. If Rogers really wants to win over Michiganders, he should be focusing on his own policies and ideas rather than trying to smear his opponents. But no, instead he's just going to keep dodging questions about his residency and loyalties... sad 🤷‍♂️

I'm not buying it 🤣... I mean, I get it, people move around for work or family reasons, but Mike Rogers' situation just smells like a bad deal 💸. He was living in Congress, making bank, and then he goes to Florida and buys himself a sweet mansion? 🏠👍 It's like he's trying to buy his way back into the state's politics. And now he's got two homes, one in Michigan and one in Florida... that's just rich (no pun intended 😜). I don't think it's fair to call him a carpetbagger, but at the same time, you can see why people would think that. He's got no real roots here and seems more interested in lining his own pockets than serving the people of Michigan. 🙄
