Mayor says ICE seeks to cause "chaos and disruption" in Minneapolis

ICE is literally sending in more agents to freak people out 🤯... meanwhile, I just saw a video of a person getting detained by border patrol at the airport because they didn't have the right paperwork 🚫😱... it's crazy how these things always seem to happen when you're trying to travel or visit family... and now Minneapolis is standing up for itself against ICE 😊... but what about all the other places that get screwed over like this? 🤔

ICE is at it again 🙄... I mean, can't they just leave us alone? Minneapolis is already dealing with enough issues what with the police scandal and now this? It's like they're trying to stir up trouble on purpose. And Mayor Frey is right, all this 'chaos and disruption' talk sounds like a recipe for disaster. I'm not buying it when they say they want to increase public safety - let's be real, their main goal is always going to be enforcement. It's just a matter of time before someone gets hurt... 🤕

just saw this news about Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey and I gotta say 🤯, he's being super vocal about not cooperating with ICE's demands to deploy agents into the city jails and prisons... like, good on him? 😊 ICE is trying to create chaos and disruption in Minneapolis, but Frey's all like "nope, not gonna play that" 👎. I'm not surprised, though - we've seen this kind of thing happen before with immigration policies and it's always a mess 🤦‍♀️.

but what really gets me is how Frey's countering the narratives about Renee Good's actions leading up to her shooting... like, come on Homeland Security Sec't Kristi Noem? 💁‍♀️ stop trying to justify ICE's aggression with domestic terrorism labels. it's just not true 🙅‍♂️.

anyway, I'm loving how Frey's prioritizing trust between local authorities and the feds... that's what we need more of in this country 👍.

ICE is actually trying to bring some order to our streets 🙄. I mean, think about it - all these protests have been pretty peaceful so far, no one's getting hurt (unlike 2020). And Renee Good's actions were totally justified, Homeland Security Secretary Noem should've said that from the start 🔥. Minneapolis is just being paranoid, they're afraid of change and don't want any extra scrutiny 🤷‍♂️. We can't let our communities get torn apart by fear-mongering politicians 🚫.

I'm not surprised by this, I mean, have you seen the protests last year? They were super peaceful, you know? And it's not like they're just marching around aimlessly, they're actually trying to make a point 🤔. It's like, we get it, immigration is complicated, but do we really need ICE here? I don't think so 💁‍♀️. Minneapolis has always been a city of immigrants and we've thrived because of it. Why do we need federal agents coming in and causing trouble? 🚫. Frey's stance makes sense to me, he's trying to protect his community from being intimidated by ICE 👮‍♂️. And I gotta agree with him on this one, Kristi Noem's comments about Renee Good were just ridiculous 😒. We need to focus on building trust between local authorities and the feds, not tearing people down 🚧.

omg can't believe frey is taking a stand against ice 🤯 i think he's being way too cautious, like what if they're actually trying to help? and noem's not wrong either, Renee's actions were super suspicious lol why else would someone just go into a cop station alone at night with a gun 🤔
