Lottery for Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run runs Feb. 1-13

Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run to Bring Thousands Together on May 3rd

Registration for this year's highly anticipated road race is set to open at midnight on February 1st and close just hours before on February 13th, with a limited number of spots reserved for the select few who will cross the finish line at the Navy Yard.

For the seventh time in its history, the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run has sold out well in advance, as city officials anticipate an astonishing 40,000 competitors to take part in this year's event. At $65 per entry, runners can choose from an array of charitable partners, including the American Cancer Society, American Association for Cancer Research, and Back on My Feet.

But it won't just be about reaching the finish line - as organizers have emphasized that running has a significant impact on mental well-being, particularly during Mental Health Awareness Month in 2026.

Additionally, spectators can enjoy cheering along the route from the comfort of their own homes, accompanied by family-friendly activities at the Navy Yard's finish-line celebration.

A decade since its inception in 1980 with an initial 1,500 participants, this year's event promises to be a remarkable milestone for both athletes and charities alike.

omg i'm so down for this! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨ i've been meaning to train for like months now but always seem to find excuses lol. anyone know if they have any beginner friendly groups or training sessions leading up to the big day? i wanna make sure i can actually finish without dying πŸ˜‚ also, can someone pls tell me which charitable partner to choose from? i don't wanna miss out on supporting a good cause πŸ€—

Ugh, who needs all that running hype? $65 entry fee is just gonna make people crazy rich runners while the rest of us are still scraping by πŸ€‘πŸ˜’ And what's with the Mental Health Awareness Month thing? Just another excuse to get people moving so they can feel good about themselves for a day πŸ’ͺ. I mean, I guess it's nice that spectators can watch from their homes, but let's be real, who needs all those crowds at the Navy Yard when you've got Zoom meetings and Netflix to binge-watch πŸ“ΊπŸ‘

omg I'm so hyped for this! 🀩 It's crazy how popular it's gotten - I mean 40k people? that's insane! πŸ’₯ I've been thinking of signing up, but $65 is kinda steep... guess I'll have to save up for a hot minute πŸ˜…. But for real though, I love that they're doing this for mental health awareness - running really does do wonders for your mood 🌞. And yay for streaming the race from home! my fam and I will def be cheering on our faves πŸŽ‰πŸ‘.

I'm like "yaaas" about people running together for charity πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’– - it's actually pretty inspiring to see so many people coming together for a good cause! But I gotta say, 40k competitors is kinda crazy, don't you think? Like, isn't that just gonna make traffic around Navy Yard super hectic on May 3rd? πŸš—πŸ‘€ Anyway, glad they're highlighting mental health awareness, that's so important. I'm also low-key excited for the family-friendly stuff at the finish line - my little sis loves running with her friends and it'll be cool to see other families out there cheering everyone on πŸ‘«πŸ’•

This Broad Street Run is gonna be lit πŸ’₯! I mean, 40k people running together is no joke 🀯. It's great that it's not just about the run itself but also supporting some awesome charities like Cancer Society & Back on My Feet. Mental health awareness is so important and running can do wonders for your mental well-being, especially during this month 🌞. I'm actually thinking of signing up myself... but fingers crossed they'll open registration on time! Fingers, toes, and everything crossed πŸ‘

I dont get why people pay $65 just to run around a street lolol... I mean, if they want to support a good cause its cool, but can you imagine having that kind of money just for a sweaty t-shirt? 🀣 anyway, 40k is a lot, like what if all those ppl had a marathon instead and the course was super long tho πŸ˜‚

OMG can u believe how many ppl r gonna run this yr πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ?! 40k is like CRAZY!!! its awesome that its gonna bring so much $$$ for good causes tho πŸ’Έ, i mean how cool is it that u can choose from all these charities? πŸ€” gotta make a difference in the world right? and yay for spectators gettin to watch from home with their fams πŸ‘ͺ🏼. this event has come so far since 80 and its so inspiring to see how it's grown πŸ’–

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ I'm so down for events like this that bring people together! 40k runners is crazy but it shows how many people are passionate about running & giving back πŸ’–. And with the mental health aspect, it's awesome that organizers are highlighting its importance 🌟. Plus, getting to cheer on friends and family from home sounds like a blast! 😊 The Navy Yard finish line party should be lit πŸŽ‰. I'm not surprised it sold out early tho, ppl love Broad Street Run & can't wait for May 3rd πŸ•°οΈπŸ’ͺ

omg i'm so hyped for this!!! 40k people running together is just amazing πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’– can't wait to cheer on all the runners & their fams at the navy yard finish line party πŸŽ‰ it's awesome that they're focusing on mental health awareness too - running really does have a positive impact πŸŒžπŸ’«

OMG, I'm so stoked they're selling out early again πŸ€©πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ this year's Broad Street Run is gonna be lit! I mean, 40k runners is crazy, but it's not like we don't know the run is a big deal in Philly. What I love most though is that they're using it for good – all those charities are awesome and mental health awareness is super important, fam 🌟. And yay for family-friendly stuff at the Navy Yard, can't wait to cheer on my friends with their families! It's gonna be such a fun event, bring it on May 3rd πŸŽ‰πŸ’¨

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘₯ so like I'm super excited about the Broad Street Run this year 🀩! They're expecting 40k people to show up which is insane πŸ’―. But at $65 it's not too bad, especially since you get to choose a charity to support 🌟. Mental health awareness is everything right now and running is like, super good for your mind and stuff πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ. Plus the Navy Yard party sounds lit πŸŽ‰! I wish I could join in but I'll probably just watch from home with my fam πŸ‘ͺ. It's crazy to think it's been 10 years since they first started this event - that's wild 🀯!

omg its gonna be so crazy!! 🀯 i mean 40k runners is no joke... but also kinda awesome that theres more focus on mental health now. like we need all the help we can get with anxiety and stress these days 😩 anyway, im def thinking of signing up for this thing... or maybe just cheering my friends from home lol the navy yard finish line party sounds like so much fun πŸŽ‰

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŽ‰ when did they start making charity runs into events πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ’Έ? now every event is like "we'll let you run if you promise us your firstborn" πŸ˜‚πŸ‘Ά but honestly, it's kinda cool that people can come together for a good cause πŸŒˆπŸ†

omg I'm so down for this!!! been training for months already! 40k people is insane tho! gotta make sure to cheer on all my friends who're running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ and also gonna grab some food from the Navy Yard after... nothing beats a good finish line fest with fam πŸ˜‚πŸ•

can't believe the navy yard is gonna be that crowded πŸš«πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜© registration opens at midnight and it closes like hours before... people gotta plan ahead or risk not getting in πŸ’Έ 40k competitors? that's crazy! anyone who says they'll get a good spot better hurry up cuz those spots are already taken ⏰ meanwhile, spectators can just stay home and watch from their couches πŸ“Ί sounds kinda sad if u ask me...

Ugh, can you believe how expensive it is gonna be to run this thing? $65 for a spot? Rich people only are gonna be able to afford it lol πŸ˜’. And of course, they're gonna sell out super early so the average joe is gonna have to wait like 4 months to even get a chance. Mental health awareness month in 2026, yeah right, just another way to guilt trip us into spending more money. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

omg i'm literally stoked that broad street run is selling out again!!! its like how can we expect them to do anything less when its all about supporting those awesome charitable partners πŸ€©πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ i mean 40k competitors is insane, but i love it! and the fact that mental health awareness is being highlighted during this event is just wow πŸ’– i've been running since 2018 and broad street run has become like my ultimate goal every year. can't wait to register on Feb 1st πŸ•°οΈπŸ‘

OMG u gotta think about mental health right now!! 🀯πŸ’ͺ I'm all for running & charity but let's not forget ppl can't even afford the entry fee lol $65 is still crazy 4 most ppl. And what's up wit all these new ppl comin to Philly? Can't we just support our local runners instead of bringin in thousands from outta town? πŸ€”πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Also, family-friendly activities @ Navy Yard sounds legit tho 😊
