Liam Rosenior hopes his appointment will one day be seen as Chelsea's 'best decision'

Chelsea's new head coach Liam Rosenior has vowed to make a lasting impression on the club despite an underwhelming start to his tenure. The 41-year-old is aware that restoring fan confidence will be a top priority and hopes that one day, his appointment will be seen as Chelsea's "best decision".

Rosenior acknowledges that winning six out of seven games may not have been enough to win over the skeptical crowd, but he credits their performance in the second half with turning the tide. The mood at Stamford Bridge was far from festive when Chelsea trailed 2-0 against West Ham, but a stirring comeback and an impressive stoppage-time winner sealed a thrilling victory.

However, Rosenior accepts that the team's showing in the first half fell short of expectations and acknowledges that they need to improve their energy and decision-making. He takes comfort in the fans' reaction after the game, saying it was clear they were with the team and would support them going forward.

"It's on me, it's on me," Rosenior said, highlighting his personal responsibility for turning things around at Stamford Bridge. "I hope in time, they'll say it's the best decision this club's ever made." While the pressure is already mounting, Rosenior remains focused on delivering results and bringing success to the club.

The challenge ahead is significant, with Chelsea currently 17th in the Premier League table. However, new manager Nuno Espírito Santo believes that his team can stay up if they continue to perform at a high level. With several tough matches still to come, Rosenior's task will be to lead the team to safety and establish himself as a trusted figure at Stamford Bridge.

For now, however, Rosenior is content with the progress made so far and is determined to build on that momentum. As he said after the game, "To see them after the game, 45 minutes later, so happy and delighted with what they saw from the team makes me very proud." The new head coach's job is just beginning, but one thing is certain - he has already won over a few fans.

I don’t usually comment but Chelsea’s new manager Liam Rosenior seems really down to earth 🙏. I mean, he knows they didn’t exactly start the season off well and it's on him to turn things around 🔥. 17th in the Premier League is a tough spot to be in, but at least he's not giving up 🤞. His optimism about making a lasting impression and bringing success to the club is infectious 💪. It'll be interesting to see how he builds on that momentum and gets the fans fully behind him again 😊.

🤔 I'm not sure if Rosenior can really restore fan confidence that quickly... like, 2-0 down and then a complete turnaround? Sounds too good to be true. 🙄 Still, credit him for acknowledging the team's issues and taking responsibility for turning it around. The problem is, we've seen this story play out before with other managers, and it never seems to end well... 💔

omg did you see that game against west ham?? 🤯 i mean, 2-0 down and then come back to win it? so crazy! 😱 i think liam rosenior should get some credit for the comeback though, he must have given those players a pep talk in halftime or something 💪 anyway, i'm not sure if 6 wins out of 7 is enough to win over the fans yet... i mean, they're still skeptical 🤔 but it's good that rosenior is taking responsibility and saying it's on him 🙏 maybe he can turn things around and get chelsea back into a winning streak 🔥

I'm not sure if Rosenior is being too optimistic about turning things around 🤔... 6 wins out of 7 is a good start, I guess 👍, but the first half performances were pretty underwhelming. And yeah, their energy and decision-making need to step up 🚨. Still, it's cool to see the fans' support after the game 😊. Rosenior seems like he's got his work cut out for him, leading the team from 17th in the league table 📉... but at least he's aware of the challenges ahead 🤞. I hope they can build on this momentum and show some consistency 💪!
