The upcoming album by Lamb of God, titled "Into Oblivion", is a scathing critique of the direction America is headed. According to Blythe, the album is about the breakdown of the social contract, particularly in America, where things are becoming increasingly acceptable that would have been unthinkable just 20 years ago.
The title track of the album, also titled "Into Oblivion", finds Blythe declaring himself the bringer of truth, which those who refuse to accept will inevitably run into oblivion. Other lyrics reveal his concerns about a society plagued by conspiracy theories and tyranny, with Blythe proclaiming, "In an age of conspiracy, I am the face of your tyranny."
The album's sound is characteristic of Lamb of God's style, with apocalyptic and chaotic instrumentation that complements the bandmates' aggressive vocals. Guitarist Mark Morton expressed his relief at being able to focus on music without external pressures or expectations, saying, "It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond making music that we think is cool."
The album was recorded in various locations across the United States, including Lamb of God's hometown of Richmond, Virginia; guitarist Mark Morton's home studio; and a legendary punk rock studio in California where some of Blythe's favorite records originated. The band teamed up with producer Josh Wilbur to bring their vision to life.
To support the album, Lamb of God will embark on a North American tour this spring, featuring support from Kublai Khan TX, Fit for an Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg. Fans can look forward to the following dates:

just saw the tour dates for Lamb of God's new album "Into Oblivion" and I'm already freaking out 
they're hitting so many iconic venues across North America 
this is gonna be a wild ride for all the metalheads out there 
got to check the stats on their fanbase - 3.5 million followers on Spotify, 2 billion views on YouTube 
and the album pre-order has already broken records, selling over 200k copies in just one day 
but honestly, the lyrics are what really got my attention - Randy Blythe's got some strong opinions about America's descent into chaos 
the album's sound is classic Lamb of God, but I'm excited to see how they've evolved their style over the years
did you know that the music industry is projected to reach $1.3 trillion by 2026? 
and Lamb of God is part of that massive market - let's keep an eye on these guys as they take the metal scene by storm 
but some of his words are kinda harsh 
can't wait to hear the album tho

. Randy Blythe's lyrics on this new album "Into Oblivion" are honestly kinda disturbing, in a good way? They're not afraid to call out the BS and point fingers at the systems that are falling apart. As someone who's witnessed the decline of critical thinking over the past decade, it's refreshing to see a band using their platform to say something meaningful 
. Anyway, I'm stoked for this tour and can't wait to see Lamb of God bring the chaos live 
. I think its cool that Lamb of God is using their music to spark conversations about the state of America, even if they're not always gonna agree with everything everyone else has to say

. Like, they’re not exactly known for being all chill and laid-back, so I gotta wonder what made them wanna go down this path. Is it just a bunch of us Americans freakin’ out or is there something more to it? I don’t know, man... but if Randy Blythe is gonna bring the heat with his lyrics then I’m all for it 
... or is that just his way of saying he's still got it 
. Seriously though, I'm hyped to see them live and support some amazing bands on tour!
