Just what we need, another sports star dying on the streets . I mean, it's not like he had a lot of control over his life anyway. From NFL to Arena Football, it's all about the money and the fame... until your body decides to give up, that is. Poor guy was only 55 too, still got some good years left on him. Guess you could say his career was more 'sacked' than he would've liked . The homeless system, though... always something. Not enough help out there for people struggling with their own demons, if you ask me .
Man... this is so sad . 55 is way too young to go out like that. I'm thinking about all the other guys from the Eagles who are still kicking it, playing the game they love for fans everywhere. You'd think with all the resources we have today, someone wouldn't end up dead on the streets like this... homeless encampments are no joke . Kevin Johnson's story is a sad reminder that even pro athletes can struggle with life off the field. It's crazy he had such an awesome NFL stint and then struggled so much afterwards. RIP to him, hoping his family gets some answers soon

.. 55 is way too young to go out like that. I mean, I'm not one to romanticize the homeless life or anything, but it's just sad. Poor Kevin Johnson, he had a good run in the NFL, 6 sacks and all that... what happened after that? Did he get stuck in some kind of cycle? It's crazy how health issues can creep up on you like that.
And I'm not gonna sit here and say "oh well, tough luck" either. This is a community thing, man. We need to do better. Homeless encampments are just breeding grounds for stuff like this... what if someone had seen him earlier? What if they'd found him sooner?
