Houston IT team can't guarantee record system bought in 2023 will be ready for another year

Ugh, this is getting frustrating 🤯! I mean, I get that delays happen and all, but $24.5 million extra? That's a lot of taxpayer $$$ 💸! And what about the safety concerns with the old system still around? It's like they're kicking the can down the road again 😒. I'm rooting for the city to get it together tho 🤞 - those investigators and prosecutors need reliable info ASAP 🕵️‍♀️. Fingers crossed 2026 brings a functioning RMS 💫!

you know what's wild? I was at this food truck festival last weekend and they had these crazy good Korean BBQ tacos 🤯... like, i'm pretty sure that's the future of food. anyway, back to houston's police records system... 24.5 million more dollars is a lot of cash 💸 but i guess it's better than spending even more on fixing the old system. has anyone been to houston? what's the deal with all these delays? 🤔

🤔 I'm low-key disappointed that it's gonna take another year for this new police records management system to be ready 🕰️. On the other hand, I get why they gotta wait - poor record-keeping is no joke and you don't wanna rush into something that can compromise sensitive info 🔒. At the same time, $24.5 million more on top of what they already spent is a lot 💸... I mean, do we really need to spend so much money? 🤷‍♂️ And what's the guarantee that this new system won't have its own set of problems in the future? 🤔
