Great white shark tracked off Jersey Shore is among largest known males

I think its pretty wild that these sharks are basically like us humans migrating to different places for food and shelter 🤯🌊. And yeah some ppl might say they're not endangered but i dont think thats entirely accurate cuz we just dont know enough about them yet. I mean have u seen the size of Contender? 13.8 feet is HUGE! 🤯 how can we even be sure he's not a threat to humans?

OH MY GOSH, THIS IS SO COOL!!! 🤯 GREAT WHITE SHARKS ARE LIKE, WHOA, RIGHT? THEY CAN LIVE UP TO 32 YEARS OLD AND GET AS BIG AS 13.8 FEET LONG!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE SEEING ONE IN PERSON OFF THE JERSEY SHORE?! IT'S AMAZING THAT THIS LITTLE TAG FROM OCEARCH IS HELPING US LEARN MORE ABOUT THESE MAMMALS AND HOW THEY MOVE, FEED, AND HELP RECOVER THEIR POPULATION. I MEAN, 400 SHARKS TAGGED ALREADY?! MIND BLOWN!!! 🌊

omg u guys can u believe this shark!!! 🤯 it's like 32 yrs old and 13.8 ft long!!! that's wild!! i mean i've heard of great whites before but to see one that massive is just mind blowing. and the fact that they're tracking these things with tags so we can learn more about them is just amazing 🤓 i love how ocearch is working on this and sharing it all with us, like we can actually follow Contender's journey and see where he goes next. it's like a shark reality tv show 😂 but for real though, it's so cool to think that we're learning more about these incredible creatures and their habitats. and the fact that they're not endangered in the atlantic ocean is a big deal 🙌

I'm fascinated by these tracking devices 🤯, it's amazing how they can give us insights into the life cycles of such incredible creatures like great whites. The fact that Contender has been tracked for years now is insane, 32 years old and still swimming strong! 🐟 His journey highlights just how much we can learn from technology and collaboration between scientists and the public.

I'm also intrigued by how this data helps us understand their migration patterns and feeding habits. It's like having a virtual map of these amazing animals' movements over time. And what's crazy is that Earnst, another tagged shark, was thousands of miles away when her location was pinged 🌐. It just goes to show how much we still have to learn about our ocean's inhabitants.

I've been following this organization Ocearch for a while now, and it's incredible to see the impact their work has on our understanding of great whites. It's not just about tracking these amazing animals; it's about raising awareness about conservation efforts and promoting a greater appreciation for these incredible creatures 🌊.

🤯 I mean can you even imagine being tracked by a device for years on end? 📊 32 years old is crazy, and it's mind-blowing to think that Contender has been swimming around in the ocean since he was like, 10! 🐟 It's also wild to see how far he's traveled - over 2,000 miles! 💨 The fact that Ocearch can track him and share that info with us is just amazing. I feel like we're learning so much more about these incredible creatures than ever before. 💡
