Ugh, can't believe our forums would even get worked up over this... I mean, come on, it's just a photo shoot for a magazine . Schiappa seems like a strong advocate for women's rights, so what's the big deal? It's just her being herself and expressing an opinion - not like she's doing anything shady. And btw, shouldn't we be focusing on actual issues rather than who's wearing what to a photo shoot? Anyway, glad our forums are still keeping us informed about this drama... I guess

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one... I mean, I get it, promoting women's rights is super important, but come on, Playboy? It's like taking a step back in time, you know? Like, what was the French government thinking? "Hey, let's use a magazine that's basically synonymous with sexism to promote equality."

I feel bad for Marlene Schiappa, though. She's clearly passionate about her cause and wants to make a point. But maybe they could've chosen a more... respectful platform to do it? You know, like, an actual women's magazine or something. Anyway, I'm all for women's rights and all that jazz, but let's try not to be hypocrites, right?

I'm kinda surprised by this one . I mean, Marlene Schiappa's all about empowering women and LGBT rights, so you'd think she'd be the last person to get flamed for appearing in a magazine like Playboy . The whole thing feels like a weird case of "do as I say, not as I do" . I get that some people might see it as a conflict of interest or just plain weird, but come on, if she's really committed to women's rights, shouldn't she be using her platform to promote those values, not pose in a risqué mag? Still, I think Schiappa's got this - she's still got the respect of her peers and seems like a genuine advocate for change .

OMG u guys I cant even lol so like marlene schiappas on the cover of playboy lol i mean i get it shes a feminist and all but come on she's 50 and 12 pages of that mag is NOT exaclty what ur heart wants idk what france was thinkin lol and btw thats like her whole job to defend womans rights so yeah she should def do that .

so schiappa gets roasted by her own party over posing for a mag that's basically just an excuse to make celebrities look good... like who wouldn't want to be on the cover of playboy, lol? but seriously though, it is kinda weird that she'd choose a magazine like that when they're all about objectifying women. guess you could say she's trying to use the platform to promote her own agenda - i mean, it's not like she was going to get any respect from a more 'respectable' outlet. and honestly, elisabeth borne's response just sounds like a bunch of extra politeness
