Former Superstars Line Up For Upcoming Cooperstown Elections

The Class of 2027 is shaping up to be a powerhouse lineup in the Baseball Hall of Fame elections. Among those considered likely to join the hallowed ranks on their first try are Buster Posey and Jon Lester, two former MVPs and three-time world champions. While Pujols' 1,500 career hits may seem like a shortfall for consideration, his impressive résumé including four batting titles, two MVP awards, and a Gold Glove makes him a formidable candidate.

Lester, on the other hand, boasts an incredible postseason record with nine playoff appearances and three world championships. His post-season ERA of 2.51 is the lowest among starters with at least 20 starts and 75 innings pitched. With a .631 winning percentage, he could potentially edge out his career ERA (3.66) and modest win total.

However, not everyone has an easy ride to Cooperstown. Pettitte, who won 19 post-season games for the Yankees, will need significant gains from this year's 48.5% mark in order to surpass the 50% threshold needed for induction. Fellow pitcher Felix Hernandez, a dominant force in his prime but struggling with longevity, sees a potential bounce back in his vote percentage after jumping to 46.1% this year.

The stage is also set for some notable managerial candidates to get the nod from the Eras Committee. Dusty Baker and Bruce Bochy are among those highly regarded by voters, having led teams to world championships during their careers. Lou Piniella's multiple attempts to break through could yield results next year, while Cito Gaston and Davey Johnson's own long histories of success may finally catch up with them.

Beyond the managerial front, several strong infield candidates are vying for a spot in Cooperstown. Jimmy Rollins, Dustin Pedroia, and David Wright join Chase Utley, whose impressive jump from 39.8% to 59.1% this year has bolstered his case.

On the cusp of joining the likes of Cabrera, who is all but certain to win election next year with his impressive résumé that includes four batting titles, a Triple Crown, and twelve All-Star selections, are infielders Adam Wainwright, Joey Votto, Zack Greinke, Manny Ramirez (once again), Alex Rodriguez, Jon Lester, and Andy Pettitte.

idk about pujols, 1500 hits is crazy but i think his age will be a major factor in the voting. like, he's still an amazing player but is he still the same dominant force on the field? 🤔 i'm also worried about lester, his postseason record is insane but so many starters have that... what makes him stand out from the rest? 🤷‍♂️ and ugh, Pettitte needs some serious gains to get into the 50% mark... 🚨

Its crazy how quickly time flies, you know? One day we're cheering on our favorite players, the next they're getting ready to be inducted into that Hall of Fame 🙌. What's really cool is that these candidates are more than just their stats - they've got heart, grit, and dedication. I mean, take Buster Posey, he went through so much with his health issues but still managed to dominate on the field 🤕. And Lester, man... nine playoff appearances? That's insane! 💥

But here's the thing: it's not just about them - it's about how they make you feel when you watch 'em play. It's about the memories we create with our favorite teams and players. So even if some of these guys don't get in, I'm still gonna hold onto those memories and be grateful for the time we had watching them crush it on the field 😊.

And let's not forget, Cooperstown isn't just about individual achievements - it's about the whole journey, all the ups and downs. It's about how they carried themselves off the field too. So when these guys get in, we're not just celebrating their stats... we're celebrating who they are as people 💖.

🤔 I'm not buying the hype around Pujols getting in on his 1,500 hits alone 🙅‍♂️. Sure, it's an impressive milestone, but let's be real, he's played for a looong time and had some questionable years on the field too 😒. I mean, come on, four batting titles don't automatically make you a Hall of Famer 🤦‍♂️.

And what about Pettitte? 48.5% might seem low, but it's still better than most guys get in their careers 💯. He needs to build some momentum from this year, no doubt, but I'm not convinced he won't make it next year either ⏰.

The infield candidates are looking solid, though 🤞. Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley have been quietly building cases for a while now 👀. And let's not forget about Jon Lester – his postseason record is straight fire 🔥. We'll see how the voters respond to him this year 🤔.

OMG, I'm SO stoked about the Class of 2027 Baseball Hall of Fame elections 🤩! With Posey and Lester leading the charge, it's gonna be a close contest for sure 😅. And don't even get me started on Pujols' résumé - four batting titles? 🔥 That guy's got game!

But what really has me excited is all the managerial candidates 🤝. Dusty Baker and Bruce Bochy are legends, and I'm hyped to see if they'll finally get the recognition they deserve 👏. And the infielders? For real, these guys have got skills 💪! Pedroia's jump from 39.8% to 59.1% is straight fire 🔥.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Utley and Cabrera - those guys are COOPERSTOWN-bound 🚀! And can we talk about Pujols' chances? I think he might just make it happen 💯. Bring on the votes, baseball fans! 🎉

I think it's gonna be super interesting to see who gets inducted into the Hall of Fame this year! 🤔 I'm all about Buster Posey and Jon Lester - they're both having amazing post-season stats, but at the same time, I'm rooting for Pujols too, he's had an incredible career and 1,500 hits is no joke 🙌. And can't forget Pettitte, who's gotta bring it up a notch if he wants to join the club 👊. Meanwhile, I'm curious to see how Felix Hernandez does - did he make the right comeback? 🤞 On the manager side, I love seeing Dusty Baker and Bruce Bochy get some recognition for their wins 🙌. The infielders are looking fire too - Jimmy Rollins, Dustin Pedroia, and David Wright are all bringing the heat 🔥. Bring on the votes! 💪 #BaseballHallOfFame #ErasCommittee #CooperstownBound

I gotta say, I'm loving the diversity of candidates for Cooperstown this year 🤩. People saying that Pujols is a lock for induction just 'cause he's got 1500 hits are so narrow-minded 🙄. I mean, sure, his career numbers might not be as flashy as some others, but the guy's a legend on the field 🔥. And don't even get me started on Lester - nine playoff wins and three championships? The dude's a winner 💪. Pettitte and Hernandez need to step up their game, I get it, but they're already hall of famers in my book 🙌. And can we talk about the managerial candidates? Dusty Baker and Bochy are the real deal 👊. It's gonna be a wild ride to see who gets in first 🔮.

omg can't wait for baseball hall of fame elections in 2027!!! buster posey, jon lester, and albert pujols are gonna be a powerhouse lineup 🤩 i'm loving the vibes around felix hernandez' potential bounce back, gotta give him props 🙌 dusty baker, bruce bochy, and lou piniella are all solid managerial candidates 🔥 and those infielders? jimmie rollins, dusty pedroia, david wright, and chase utley are bringing the heat 🔥 alex rodriguez is gonna be a dark horse candidate 🤫 can't wait to see who's gonna get inducted into the hall of fame first 🏆

I'm so stoked for the Class of 2027! 🤩 It's amazing to see all these legendary players and managers being considered for the Baseball Hall of Fame. I mean, Buster Posey and Jon Lester are absolute no-brainers - their achievements on the field are truly incredible. And let's be real, Albert Pujols is still hitting like a beast at 41! 🎯 It'll be fascinating to see how the voting pans out, especially with some tough competition from Pettitte and Hernandez. But whoever joins the Hall of Fame this year will definitely have a special place in baseball history. Fingers crossed for all these amazing candidates! 💪

man, can you believe how stacked the Hall of Fame ballot is looking for 2027? I think it's gonna be a tough year for some guys to get in on their first try, especially with all these legends throwing their hats into the ring. but at the same time, i'm super excited to see how things shake out - pujols is definitely due for some love after that impressive career, and lester's postseason résumé is insane 🤯

i also think felix hernandez has a legit shot at making a comeback, if he can stay healthy. and the managerial candidates are looking pretty solid too, dusty baker and bruce bochy would be amazing additions to the hall of fame. what about chase utley tho? dude's got 59.1% in one year - is that for real? 🤯

omg i'm so hyped for the Baseball Hall of Fame elections this year 🤩 especially with all these legends like posey and lester throwing their hats into the ring! Buster's stats are insane lol 1500 career hits is crazy, but four batting titles? that's some next level stuff 😂 and lester's postseason record is UNBEATABLE btw 2.51 era is wild 🤯

but for real though, it's gonna be super tough to get in on the first try... Pettitte needs to make a major comeback and felix hernandez needs to bounce back from his struggles 💪 meanwhile, manager candidates like dusty baker and bruce bochy are already looking strong 👍 what's your take? who do you think is gonna get in? 🤔

I'm thinking... I mean, I'm pretty sure that the Class of 2027 is gonna be a big deal in the Baseball Hall of Fame elections 🤔👀. But at the same time, I think it's kinda weird how some people have to work so hard to get in – like Pettitte, who needs to gain like half more points on his vote percentage or something 📊💪. And don't even get me started on guys like Pujols and Cabrera, who are basically a shoe-in just because of their numbers... but at the same time, I'm not sure if that's fair to other players who might have accomplished similar things in different ways 🤷‍♂️👊.

I mean, Lester is definitely a great candidate, no doubt about it ⚾️. But what's up with him being on both lists at the same time? Doesn't he already have like, three world championships and all that jazz? 😏 It just seems weird to me how different people are looking at his achievements... 🤔

man... i'm thinking the 2027 hall of fame class is gonna be super competitive 🤯 i mean, you got all these legends like posey and lester who are basically on a lock for the first ballot 🎉 but at the same time, guys like pujols, pettitte, and hernandez are still trying to prove themselves with decent numbers... it's gonna be interesting to see how it all shakes out 💡

I think it's cool how the Class of 2027 is shaping up to be so strong for the Baseball Hall of Fame elections 🤔. The candidates like Buster Posey and Jon Lester have impressive résumés with multiple championships and awards under their belts. And I'm curious to see if Pettitte can make some big jumps in his vote percentage, he's got a great postseason record but needs to get over that 50% threshold 📈.

It's also interesting to see the managerial candidates like Dusty Baker and Bruce Bochy who led teams to world championships. I've heard Lou Piniella's been trying for years to break through, maybe this is his year? 🤞 And on the infield side, guys like Jimmy Rollins, Dustin Pedroia, and David Wright are all making strong cases.

What's also great is that there are a lot of guys who have impressive résumés but aren't as well-known, like Adam Wainwright or Zack Greinke. Maybe we'll see some new names in Cooperstown soon? 🎉

I think its gonna be a wild ride for these guys making it to the Hall of Fame 🤯. Buster Posey and Jon Lester are definitely in the mix with their impressive résumés, but I'm also keeping an eye on Adam Wainwright - he's been quietly building up those numbers over the years 🔍. It's crazy to think about how much Pettitte needs to move up this year or it might be a tough road for him 🚨. And I love how we're seeing some of these legends making history, like Cabrera and Wright... they're gonna need all the votes they can get ⚾️.

I'm lovin' this baseball Hall of Fame stuff 🤩. Like, can you believe some of these guys are gettin' in on their first try? I mean, Buster Posey's got the skills to pay the bills 😎. And Jon Lester's postseason recs are straight fire 🔥. But at the same time, I'm thinkin', what about Pettitte? He needs some serious boosts to make it happen 📈. Also, gotta keep an eye on Wainwright and Votto - those guys could be sneakin' in like a stealth bomber ✈️. It's gonna be a wild ride, for sure 💥

I think it's crazy how many people are automatically assuming Buster Posey is going to get in on his first try 🤯 I mean, don't get me wrong, he's an incredible player and all, but 1,500 career hits might not be as big of a deal as everyone thinks. And have you seen Jon Lester's postseason record? That guy has been carrying teams to the World Series single-handedly for years... maybe it's time someone recognizes his contributions beyond just being "the guy who won three championships" 🤔 Plus, Pettitte needs that 50% threshold to even get in? Good luck with that 😂

I think it's gonna be super tight for Pettitte to get in at 50% next year 😅. I mean, he's already got a decent showing this year, but 19 postseason wins is still crazy impressive! 🤩 And can you believe Lester's playoff ERA is only 2.51? That's insane! 💥 I'm rooting for all these guys to make it in, especially Pujols and Cabrera. They're legends on the field! 🔥
