I'm so frustrated with this kind of thing happening at soccer matches . It's like, we're all here to support our teams, but some people can't even get that right . Berhalter handled it well, though - talking back to the fans directly was a bold move . But seriously, what's going on with these chants? Can't we just focus on the game and have some fun without resorting to hate speech ? It's not like it's going to win you any friends in the stadium . And yeah, I get what Berhalter said - we want everyone to feel welcome and included at our matches. It's time for us to step up and be better sports (pun intended) ️.
man this is getting outta hand... like we're living in a different era or something I'm all for team pride but homophobic chants are just not cool anymore. i mean think about it, if it's okay to chant at the mexico national team game, why can't the chicago fire fans do it? it's still soccer at the end of the day .
