Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth comes to Switch 2 on June 3

Nintendo Direct livestream dropped a bombshell this morning: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3. This marks the second installment of the FF7 remake saga, following the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade just six months prior. While fans had to wait an astonishing four years for the first part, a relatively brief gap between chapters is a welcome respite.

For those new to the series, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth remakes the middle portion of the beloved PS1 classic. Gone are the traditional turn-based mechanics; instead, the game boasts a real-time action system that injects fresh life into the iconic JRPG formula. The graphics have also undergone a significant revamp, bringing the game's visuals in line with the latest console standards.

It's no surprise that the Switch 2 has been chosen as the platform for this release, considering its impressive capabilities. But it's worth noting that the port is not exclusive to Nintendo's console; Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will also be coming to Xbox Series X/S on the same day. The game's developers have proven once again that the Switch 2 is a capable machine.

As we eagerly await the third and final installment of the FF7 remake, rumors suggest it won't arrive until 2027. In the meantime, fans can look forward to other exciting announcements from today's Nintendo Direct livestream. A slew of Bethesda games are headed to the Switch 2, including Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition on February 24, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on May 12, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered sometime later this year.

I'm telling you, something fishy is going on here... I mean, a new FF7 Rebirth game dropping in like six months after the last one? That's just too convenient for my taste. And what's with the Switch 2 getting all the love? Is Nintendo trying to push that console hard or what? ๐Ÿค” I'm not buying it. They're probably trying to distract us from something bigger... like a lack of new IP releases on their own platform.

Ugh, I'm still trying to wrap my head around that wait time between FF7 Rebirth and part three... 4 years is just crazy! ๐Ÿคฏ But hey, at least we got a release date for the Switch 2 version and it's not exclusive, yay for multi-platform releases! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I gotta say, I'm really stoked to see how the graphics are looking now compared to the PS1 original. The Switch 2 is definitely capable of handling some awesome visuals ๐Ÿ’ป. And with Bethesda games coming to the Switch 2, my console is getting a serious upgrade ๐ŸŽฎ. Now we just need to hurry up and get that third part of FF7 Rebirth, I'm dying to know what's gonna happen next ๐Ÿ˜…!

ugh man i was so hyped for ff7 rebirth but now that it's coming to switch 2 in june i'm kinda disappointed its not an n64 or ps5 exclusive lol how am i s'posed to experience the nostalgia with a different console? at least its on the new switch 2 tho, can't complain about that ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

ugh i'm already having a layout anxiety just thinking about the multiple platforms they're releasing it on ๐Ÿคฏ switch 2 is getting some love but isn't it gonna be a mess trying to track which version is which? and what's up with the 2027 release date for part 3? ๐Ÿค” at least we get a little break with fallout 4 anniversary edition coming soon tho... ๐Ÿ’ธ

I'm literally shaking with excitement right now!!! ๐Ÿคฏ๐ŸŽฎ The wait for FF7 Rebirth has been FOREVER and I'm so stoked it's finally coming to the Switch 2 on June 3! ๐ŸŒŸ Four years might've felt like an eternity but this short gap is making me even more hyped for the next chapter in this incredible saga ๐Ÿ’ฅ. And can we talk about those graphics?!? ๐Ÿ˜ They're looking straight fire, a whole new world of FF7 life! ๐ŸŒ The real-time action system is gonna change the game (no pun intended ๐Ÿ˜‰) and I'm so down to experience it all over again on my Switch 2. Xbox Series X/S better step up their porting game, tho ๐Ÿค”. And omg, Bethesda games on the Switch 2?!? Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, Indiana Jones... my wallet is already crying ๐Ÿ’ธ. Can't wait for those announcements and more! ๐Ÿ˜†

omg i'm literally hyped ๐Ÿ˜†๐ŸŽฎ FF7 Rebirth is finally coming out! I mean, it's been a wait of like 4 years for part one but at least we got the second installment so soon ๐Ÿคฉ. The fact that they're using the Switch 2's capabilities to bring this masterpiece to life is a no-brainer ๐Ÿ’ฏ. And who cares if it comes to Xbox too? More Switch 2 owners means more joy ๐Ÿ˜Š! But seriously, have you seen those graphics teasers? Mind blown ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ Can't wait for June 3 and the rest of those Bethesda announcements ๐Ÿค

I'm low-key hyped for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but also kinda annoyed that we had to wait so long for it ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ... I mean, four years is a looong time, especially considering how short the gap is between Intergrade and Rebirth. It's like, can't they just make 'em come out one after another or something? ๐Ÿ™„ On the bright side, I'm stoked that it's finally coming to the Switch 2 - those graphics are gonna be fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ. And yay for more Bethesda games on the Switch! Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition sounds like a sweet treat ๐Ÿ’ธ... but can we please just get an official release date for Oblivion Remastered already? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

can you believe how fast time flies?! i mean we're only six months after FF7 Intergrade dropped and now Rebirth is landing on Switch 2? that's like, crazy! the graphics are gonna blow us away too, gotta see those revamp visuals in action ๐Ÿคฏ nintendo's got a solid lineup going with Bethesda games coming soon, but personally i'm still hyped for that final FF7 installment... it's been an epic journey so far and 2027 can't come soon enough ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ

๐Ÿคฉ I'm super stoked about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth coming to Switch 2! Four years might've felt like an eternity for some fans, but having a shorter gap between chapters is definitely a blessing. And let's be real, the graphics look insane ๐Ÿคฏ! The Switch 2 was always gonna be a great fit for this game and I'm glad Nintendo made that call. Now, about that rumored delay... four more years? ๐Ÿ˜… Yeah, I know, it's a bummer, but Bethesda's got some awesome news to lift our spirits - Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is coming on February 24! ๐ŸŽฎ

I'm super stoked about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth dropping in June, but I have to say, it's kinda weird that it's going straight to the Switch 2 without even a PS5 port ๐Ÿค”. I mean, those Switch 2 graphics are no joke, and I can see why Nintendo would want to showcase its capabilities. But still, fans of the series who own other consoles might feel a little left out.

On the bright side, it's awesome that we're getting this installment so soon after Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. The wait has been tough for some people, and now we can finally get our hands on more FF7 action ๐Ÿ’ฅ. I'm also hyped about the other announcements from Nintendo Direct โ€“ a Bethesda game or two is always exciting ๐ŸŽฎ! And yeah, it's gonna be a while before we get that final installment in 2027... but for now, let's just focus on getting Rebirth and enjoying the ride ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿค” what's up with the waiting game for FF7 Rebirth? Four years was a looong time to wait for the first part, so I'm glad it didn't take that long for the sequel ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ. A real-time action system in the game is kinda cool, but I still miss the good ol' turn-based battles from the PS1 days ๐Ÿ˜Š. And yay for the Switch 2 being able to handle this game - love how Nintendo's console can keep up with the big guns! ๐Ÿ’ป On a side note, who's hyped for those other Bethesda games on the Switch 2? ๐ŸŽฎ
