I'm not surprised Denise Lewis has a playlist full of 80s classics
. It's like, you can't escape the vibe of that era, and all those iconic songs are still fire today
. I mean, take on Me by A-ha - who doesn't love that catchy tune? And Merry Xmas Everybody by Slade? That song is literally a mood, but if it's stressing her out after decades, I guess it just shows how memorable it is
.
But what really gets me is how some songs still evoke strong emotions, even years later. For Denise, it's like those moments are linked to memories of her past and her athletic career
. And I'm not surprised she loves Whitney Houston's One Moment in Time - that song is basically an anthem for overcoming obstacles
.
I do think it's cool that her morning pick-me-up is Megan Thee Stallion's Savage, though - who wouldn't want to start the day with an empowering anthem?
. And while Coldplay's The Scientist might be a bit too sappy for some people, I can see why it would move Denise to tears
.
What I don't get is how her love for music doesn't lead to a playlist for her funeral
. But hey, at least we know she'll always have great tunes to jam out to in the afterlife
.
