just saw this news about the Doomsday Clock and I'm like what's going on? 85 seconds to midnight is crazy, it feels like we're running out of time. They're saying we haven't made enough progress on nuclear arms, climate change, and AI. It's true, every second counts. We need to work together as a global community to tackle these issues before they spiral out of control. I'm not optimistic about the 2010 treaty expiring next week, it's like we're setting ourselves up for disaster. And the rise of nationalistic autocracies is super concerning. We can't just sit back and watch as these threats escalate. We need to take action, now.

I don’t usually comment but I feel really uneasy about this whole situation... 85 seconds to midnight is crazy . Like, we're running out of time here and people are still arguing over nuclear arms . I mean, I get it, geopolitics is complicated, but can't we just try to get along?

And the AI thing? That's a whole different level of scary. If misinformation and disinformation can amplify because of AI, what's gonna happen when it's used for real bad stuff? We need to be super careful about how we develop and use this tech.

I don't know if I've ever felt so hopeless as I do right now . But at the same time, I'm inspired by people like Bell and Holz who are trying to make a difference . We need more voices like theirs in the mix. Can we please just work together on this?
