Ugh, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this devastating house fire in Detroit...

It's just heartbreaking to think about those three people losing their lives due to obstacles inside the home


. And can we talk about how outdated our emergency response systems are? Like, firefighters were there within minutes, but still couldn't save two people due to hallways being blocked or cluttered spaces... it's just not fair

And I'm so tired of seeing these "practical steps" articles popping up all the time, like we haven't been told this stuff before

. It's like, we know how to prevent fires and we're still going to have tragedies happen because people don't take responsibility for their own homes

Anyway, I guess the takeaway is that fire safety is super important and we need to all do our part to make sure our homes aren't ticking time bombs...

. Can we get some updates on the investigation and maybe some actual solutions instead of just rehashing the same old "be prepared" advice?
