Children among 28 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces across Gaza

At least 28 Palestinians have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, with six children among them, amid growing tensions ahead of Israel's planned reopening of the Rafah border crossing.

Israeli forces escalated their attacks on Saturday, carrying out airstrikes that killed seven people, including three minors, at a displaced persons shelter near Khan Younis city. The victims were taken to Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis.

In Gaza City, five Palestinians, including three children, perished in an Israeli air strike targeting an apartment building in the Remal neighborhood. Eight others suffered injuries from the same attack.

"We could feel the shockwaves of the explosions followed by a huge, dark, dusty cloud that filled the area, leaving at least five people killed inside the residential flat," Al Jazeeraโ€™s Hani Mahmoud reported from Gaza City.

Meanwhile, eight Palestinians in Daraj neighborhood also suffered injuries. In Khan Younis, an apartment building had been hit by fighter jets and destroyed after being pre-warned by Israeli military officials.

The Gaza Government Media Office stated that since a US-brokered ceasefire came into effect on October 10, at least 524 Palestinians have lost their lives to Israeli forces.

Israel plans to reopen the Rafah crossing, which links Gaza with Egypt, for the first time in almost a year and six months on Sunday. The move is part of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas. However, Israel has announced that only people who fled during the past two years will be allowed entry, excluding those born outside Gaza.

Hamas called for unrestricted movement in and out of Gaza, urging adherence to all aspects of the ceasefire agreement. This comes as Israel's conflict with Gaza has resulted in over 71,600 Palestinian fatalities since October 7, 2023.

๐Ÿค• my heart is breaking thinking about all these innocent lives lost ๐ŸŒช๏ธ it's like israel and palestine going to be stuck in this cycle of violence forever? ๐Ÿ’” i feel so helpless watching all this from the other side of the world ๐ŸŒŽ can't we just talk things out instead of fighting with guns and bombs? ๐Ÿ’ฃ at least 28 people dead already, and it's not even over yet... ๐Ÿ˜ฑ what's going on is just devastating ๐Ÿคฏ

๐Ÿค• ugh I cant even imagine what its like to live in a place where you're constantly being attacked and not sure if ur gonna make it to the end of the day ๐Ÿ™ my heart goes out to all those families who've lost loved ones and to the kids who won't get to grow up without their parents ๐Ÿ’” it feels like the cycle of violence is never-ending and I just wish we could find a way to talk things through instead of resorting to airstrikes & bombs ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐ŸŒช๏ธ It's like Israel is playing a game of 'choose your victims'. They're targeting civilians, including kids, and then saying it's all part of some ceasefire agreement ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, come on! The numbers are just piling up โ€“ 524 people dead since October last year. Can't they see that this is just prolonging the suffering? And what about those born outside Gaza who are being left out of this 'ceasefire' deal? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ It's like Israel's trying to pick and choose who lives and dies based on where they were born. The international community needs to take a closer look at this and figure out how we can end this cycle of violence once and for all ๐Ÿ’”

man this is getting crazy ๐Ÿคฏ...i dont no how many more ppl can die on both sides lol whats goin on?? ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ i was just reading about the rafah border crossing and how its been closed for almost a year now and now isles wanna open it up again ๐Ÿšช๐Ÿ‘€ but theres this big catch...only ppl who left in the last 2 yrs can come back and their kids ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฝ born outside of gaza dont get to go lol what kinda refugee policy is this?! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Ugh, this is just getting crazier ๐Ÿ˜ฑ... I mean, think about it - they're opening up the Rafah crossing but only for people who've been gone for 2 years? That's like a trap to control the flow of people in and out of Gaza ๐Ÿšซ. And what about those born outside Gaza? Are they just gonna be left behind? ๐Ÿ˜• It doesn't add up, you know? The US is brokering peace agreements, but at whose expense? The Palestinians are getting slaughtered ๐Ÿ’€. I'm telling ya, there's a hidden agenda here, folks ๐Ÿค”...

๐Ÿ˜” my heart goes out to those families who have lost loved ones in this senseless violence... 28 lives lost in 24 hours is just heartbreaking ๐Ÿ’” it feels like the cycle of pain and suffering never ends. can we please just talk about finding peaceful solutions instead of escalating the conflict? ๐Ÿค Gaza children should be playing with their friends, not hiding from airstrikes... how can we let this happen to innocent kids again? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

man this is getting soooo sad ๐Ÿค• what's going on with these airstrikes? are they gonna stop or keep happening? i feel like we're watching a horror movie from afar ๐Ÿ’” the numbers are just piling up and it's hard to keep track of who's who - 28 people in 24 hours? that's insane! ๐Ÿคฏ what's the point of reopening the Rafah crossing if only certain ppl can go through? doesn't make sense, right? ๐Ÿ˜• also why did they have to warn ppl beforehand before hitting an apartment building? seems like a huge target ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿ˜ฑ this is just devastating, another 24 hours of slaughter in Gaza and still no one seems to care ๐Ÿค•. I mean 6 kids lost their lives today alone? How can we even call ourselves human beings when we're just sitting here reading about these things online ๐Ÿ˜”. And now they're planning to reopen the Rafah crossing but with conditions that basically exclude half the people who are trying to escape?! It's like they think they're better than everyone else or something ๐Ÿ™„. How can we not be outraged by this? We need to do more, we need to raise our voices and demand change ๐Ÿ’ฅ.

my heart is literally breaking reading about this ๐Ÿค•... it feels like we're stuck in a never-ending cycle of violence and sadness ๐ŸŒช๏ธ. these numbers are just devastating - 28 lives lost in just one day alone ๐Ÿšจ. can't even imagine how traumatic it must be for families who've lost loved ones to see their names on the news ๐Ÿ‘€. and what's really worrying is that there are still so many innocent civilians getting caught in the crossfire ๐Ÿคฏ. reopening the Rafah crossing might bring some relief, but at what cost? ๐Ÿ’”

man this is just getting worse and worse ๐Ÿคฏ how can one country keep causing so much pain and suffering for another? it feels like there's no end to this cycle of violence ๐Ÿ’” and the fact that only people who fled in the past two years are allowed into Gaza through the Rafah crossing is just cruel ๐Ÿ˜ฉ i mean what about all the other Palestinians who are still living in gaza with no hope of leaving or being reunited with their loved ones? it's like they're just invisible ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Ugh, can't believe the drama in Gaza again... 28 lives lost? That's just insane! ๐Ÿ™Œ And those kids, six of them, poor things ๐Ÿ˜”. I'm all for Israel opening up the Rafah crossing, but only for people who actually lived through the past two years? What about the ones born outside Gaza? Do they not deserve a chance to reunite with family? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ It's just so unfair... ๐Ÿ’” By the way, have you guys seen the number of Palestinians killed since October 2023? 71,600?! That's just staggering... ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

๐Ÿ˜ฑ this is just so sad! ๐Ÿค• my heart goes out to all those families who lost loved ones ๐Ÿ™. 524 lives lost already? that's insane ๐Ÿ’ฅ it feels like every day there's more suffering and pain in that beautiful but devastated place ๐ŸŒน. i wish everyone could come together and find a peaceful solution to this conflict ๐Ÿค. reopening the Rafah crossing is supposed to be a good thing, but now it feels like another opportunity for people to get hurt ๐Ÿšซ. let's hope someone can bring some peace and stability to that region soon โฐ๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿค• my heart goes out to these innocent people losing their lives... it's like what even is going on right now? ๐Ÿคฏ a cease fire one minute and then suddenly they're attacking again. I don't get it. ๐Ÿ™„ how many more have to die before something changes? 524 people already lost to the violence, that's just crazy. ๐Ÿคฏ can we not all just live in peace for once? ๐ŸŒŽ and what's with the restrictions on who gets to enter Gaza? that doesn't seem fair at all ๐Ÿ˜”

I donโ€™t usually comment but itโ€™s just really sad to see all these innocent lives lost ๐Ÿค•. The fact that kids were among them is what breaks my heart ๐Ÿ˜ญ. I feel like we should be doing more to help the situation, not just talking about it on social media ๐Ÿ“ฑ. It's not easy to understand why Israel feels like they need to restrict who can enter through the Rafah crossing ๐Ÿค”. Can't we all just try to live in peace and respect each otherโ€™s boundaries? I wish there was a way to resolve this conflict without so much bloodshed ๐Ÿ’”.

๐Ÿค• this is so heartbreaking, another wave of violence and innocent lives lost... what's going on with these attacks? can't they see the devastation they're causing? ๐ŸŒช๏ธ

i think the ceasefire agreement needs to be taken more seriously, especially considering how many people have already died. 524?! that number keeps going up and it's not like israel has any right to restrict who can leave or enter... ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ those born outside of gaza are just as human, you know? ๐ŸŒŽ

have we learned nothing from these cycles of violence? can't we find a way to coexist peacefully? i mean, what's the point of all this bloodshed and destruction? ๐Ÿ’”

I donโ€™t usually comment but itโ€™s just so sad and heartbreaking to see all these innocent lives lost ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿ’”. The fact that children are among the victims is just devastating. I can only imagine how scary and traumatic it must be for those living in Gaza, knowing that they could lose their homes, loved ones, or even their lives at any moment. It feels like this conflict has been going on for so long already ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ. And now with the Rafah crossing reopening, it just feels like more drama is coming... I donโ€™t know if thereโ€™s a way to make peace here, but we gotta try somehow ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ.

man it feels like we're stuck in this cycle again ๐Ÿค• it's like dรฉjร  vu every time something like this happens. remember when Rafah was open and life seemed a bit more normal? what happened to that sense of security? now people are dying left and right ๐Ÿ’” i'm not sure if the ceasefire is really doing anything to stop the violence or if it's just giving Israel an excuse to keep escalating things... meanwhile these kids are losing their lives ๐Ÿคฎ six children, three minors... can't we find a way to protect them? ๐Ÿ™ and what about those people who fled during the past two years? shouldn't they be able to go back home too? it's just so frustrating ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

omg this is getting so sad ๐Ÿค• the ppls in gaza r already suffering 2 much 28 ppl luv lives lost already & thats not even includin those whos injured ๐Ÿ˜ข n6 children?? cant believe its happenn every day since october 10.rael needs 2 rethink what they r doin ๐Ÿ’” gaza gov is tryna inform ppl but israel military just ignore them ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ i wish sum1 cld stop dis bloodshed ASAP ๐Ÿ™

This is just getting crazy ๐Ÿคฏ... at least 28 people lost their lives already this year alone in Gaza and it's about to get even worse. Reopening the Rafah crossing only adds fuel to the fire ๐Ÿ’ฅ, especially if Israel is being super selective with who gets to enter or leave. I mean, what even is that policy? ๐Ÿค” People who fled during the past two years are basically being treated like they're not worthy of a chance to return home because of where they were born? It's just heartbreaking ๐Ÿ˜ญ and it highlights how the conflict in Gaza is far from over ๐Ÿ’”. We need to keep pushing for peace and an end to this suffering ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ.
