Checking in on recent former Eagles players after Week 10

Checking in on Former Eagles Players After Week 10

As the NFL season enters its second half, it's time to assess how some of the Eagles' former players are faring with their new teams. With more than half the season behind us, let's take a look at what Josh Sweat, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Isaiah Rodgers, Darius Slay, and several others have been up to.

One player who definitely benefited from staying with the Eagles is defensive end Josh Sweat. The Cardinals' former pass-rusher has eight sacks in 10 games, making him the fifth-highest total in the NFL. Sweat's performance has been impressive, with a forced fumble and recovery against the Seahawks last week, and he remains a key contributor for Arizona.

Another player who benefited from being traded away is safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson. After being released by the Eagles due to fit issues with their defense, CJGJ landed on his feet in Chicago, where he had a strong performance in a win against the Giants last week, including two sacks and a forced fumble.

Isaiah Rodgers, who stayed with the Eagles, has seen his numbers dip slightly since joining the Vikings. He's allowed 29 passes to be completed out of 48 attempts for 384 yards and two touchdowns this season. However, he remains one of the better outside cornerbacks in the league.

On the other hand, Darius Slay, who was traded away from the Eagles, has struggled in Pittsburgh. With a QB rating of 108.0 against, he's allowed plenty of action on his side of the field, including more pressure than Quinyon Mitchell, who faces similar defensive challenges.

Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton, two players released by the Eagles, are having successful seasons with their new teams. Williams has 3.5 sacks in 10 games as a rotational defensive tackle for the Patriots, while Becton is playing well at left guard for the Chargers, helping to protect Justin Herbert.

Other former Eagles players who are still contributing include Bryce Huff, Isaiah Rodgers (again), and Oren Burks, though to a lesser extent. Thomas Booker IV has also been playing a significant role off the bench for the Raiders. Kenny Pickett, however, has struggled in his new role with the Browns and the Raiders, but may have found a more suitable situation in Geno Smith's backup role.

Kenny Gainwell, who was initially traded from the Eagles to Pittsburgh, is now playing a rotational third-down role, while Darian Kinnard played just six total snaps in the Packers' loss to the Eagles. Harrison Bryant and Jack Stoll are struggling to find their footing with the Texans and Saints, respectively. Avonte Maddox continues to provide depth for the Lions, though his return to Philadelphia may be a challenge come Sunday.

I'm not buying into all this hype about players from the Eagles doing well elsewhere πŸ€”. Josh Sweat's eight sacks in 10 games is definitely impressive, but has he been carrying the entire team on his back? 🚨 I don't think so. And as for C.J.GJ, two sacks and a forced fumble isn't exactly setting the world on fire... 😐

And let's be real, Isaiah Rodgers' numbers are still pretty solid, but we shouldn't be surprised that he's doing well - he was always one of the better cornerbacks to begin with πŸ™„. And as for Darius Slay in Pittsburgh, a QB rating of 108.0? That's not surprising considering the team's overall performance πŸ’”.

I do think it's great to see players like Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton thriving in their new roles 🀩. But let's keep things in perspective here - we're only at week 10, and the season is still young πŸ”₯.

omg did u know that nfl players get like crazy salaries now?! i mean, josh sweat is only 8 sacks in 10 games but he's still makin millions πŸ’ΈπŸˆ and c.j.gardner-johnson who got traded away from the eagles is doin way better in chicago πŸ€” i guess being released by the eagles was a blessing in disguise for him πŸ˜‚

I'm seeing this all over socials πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ how some former Eagles players are doing in their new teams. I gotta say I'm loving Josh Sweat's game πŸ’ͺ 8 sacks in 10 games is no joke! And C.J. Gardner-Johnson is killing it in Chicago 😎 two sacks and a forced fumble? what's not to love?

But I do think some of the guys who got traded away are struggling. Darius Slay, come on πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ his QB rating is 108.0 against him, that's just bad πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ

On the bright side, Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton are crushing it with their new teams πŸŽ‰ 3.5 sacks in 10 games for Patriots' Williams? yes please! And Chargers' Becton is protecting Justin Herbert like a pro πŸ’―

And I love how some of the guys who stayed put with Eagles are still contributing, Bryce Huff and Oren Burks, keep it up guys! πŸ™Œ

πŸ€” I'm surprised by how well some of these former Eagles players are doing! πŸ™Œ Like Josh Sweat, who's killing it with Arizona πŸ€‘ 8 sacks in 10 games is insane! πŸ’₯ And C.J.GJ, landing in Chicago and still bringing the heat πŸ”₯ two sacks and a forced fumble last week? πŸ’ͺ

But you know what's even more impressive? Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton, who got released by the Eagles but are crushing it with their new teams 🀩 3.5 sacks for the Patriots and playing solid left guard for the Chargers? πŸ”’ That's what I call a second chance! πŸ’―

Saw that CJGJ is killing it in Chicago 😊. Thinks they made a good call on trading him out of Philly. He's got more room to shine now.

On the other hand, can't help but feel bad for Kenny Pickett πŸ€•. Just don't want to see any more struggling for that kid. Hopefully finds his footing soon.

Also, glad to see some of those guys are doing well elsewhere πŸ’ͺ. It's all about finding your fit and making it work, right?

I gotta say, it's wild how some of these guys are killing it while others are tanking 🀯. Like CJGJ totally rebounded from that Eagles mess and is now racking up 2 sacks in one game πŸ€‘. Meanwhile, Darius Slay is getting roasted out there with a QB rating of 108.0 - what's going on?! πŸ˜‚ On the other hand, guys like Williams and Becton are thriving in their new roles, proving they're way more than just Eagles cast-offs πŸ’ͺ. And can we talk about Kenny Pickett for a sec? Dude is still struggling, but at least he found a decent backup gig 🀞. Overall, it's awesome to see some of these former Eagles players finding success elsewhere in the league! πŸ‘

lol what's up with Darius Slay 🀣 he's like the opposite of Josh Sweat - instead of racking up sacks, he's getting torched πŸš€ 108.0 QB rating? that's like a warning sign saying "hello, opposing team, I'm on you!" πŸ“’ but for real though, it's cool to see some former Eagles players killing it elsewhere πŸ’ͺ like Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton bringing the heat in their new teams πŸ”₯ and Isaiah Rodgers still holding down as one of the better OCBs πŸ‘

I'm low-key disappointed that Darius Slay is having a rough season in Pittsburgh πŸ€”. I mean, he was one of our top defenders when he played for us, and it's weird to see him struggle so much with their defense. But at the same time, I guess it just goes to show that NFL teams are always looking for ways to improve their rosters, right? πŸ’ͺ

It's cool to see some of our old guys doing well in other teams' uniforms though, like Josh Sweat and C.J. Gardner-Johnson 🎯. Those guys were key contributors when they played here, and it's awesome to see them continuing to make plays at the next level.

I do wish Kenny Pickett was playing better, he seemed so promising as a prospect πŸ’”. Maybe his situation in Geno Smith's backup role will be the break he needs to turn things around? 🀞

πŸˆπŸ’‘ i think josh sweat's move to cardinals was genius 🀯 he's been beast mode πŸ’ͺ especially after that forced fumble rec against seahawks last week 🚨 cjj also got his feet under the right team in chicago πŸŒ† and milton williams is killing it on patriots πŸ“ˆ meanwhile, darius slay's move to pittsburgh didn't quite work out 😐

I'm loving how Josh Sweat is killing it out there in Arizona 🀩! 8 sacks in 10 games is insane, and that forced fumble against the Seahawks was pure magic ✨. He's definitely proving himself as one of the top pass-rushers in the league.

On a separate note, I'm not surprised that C.J. Gardner-Johnson is thriving in Chicago 🀝. He got a fresh start after being released by the Eagles, and it's great to see him bouncing back with a strong performance against the Giants.

It's also awesome to see Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton crushing it in their new roles πŸ’ͺ. They definitely showed the Eagles that they had what it took to make an impact at the next level.

The NFL season is heating up πŸ”₯ and it's fascinating to see how former Eagles players are faring in their new teams πŸ€”. Josh Sweat's impressive form with the Cardinals cannot be overstated ⚑️ - 8 sacks in 10 games is a testament to his dedication and skill. Meanwhile, C.J. Gardner-Johnson's resurgence in Chicago is a great example of how being released from a bad situation can lead to success 🌟.

On the other hand, Darius Slay's struggles in Pittsburgh are puzzling πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ, especially considering his reputation as one of the league's top cornerbacks. As for those players who were traded away or released, it's clear that each has found a new home where they can thrive πŸ’ͺ.

The NFL is all about adaptability and perseverance, and it's heartening to see these former Eagles players embracing their new challenges 🏈. It'll be exciting to see how the rest of the season unfolds for these talented individuals ⚽️!

omg i just love watchin football!! 🏈 so like i was readin this article about former eagles players doin their thang in other teams and it's wild to see how some of them did vs how others didnt do so well πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ josh sweat is killin it for the cardinals, 8 sacks in 10 games wow that's crazy πŸ€‘ but CJGJ is lowkey my new fav player lol he was a total bust with the eagles but chicago has turned him around and now he's like a beast on the field πŸ’ͺ meanwhile darius slay is strugglin big time for pittsburgh i mean his QB rating is 108.0 lmao that's like the lowest in the league 🀣

I'm loving how some of our former Eagles players are killing it out there πŸ’₯🏈! Josh Sweat is looking like a total beast on the Cardinals' D, and CJGJ's Chicago stint has been fire πŸ”₯! I know some people thought he was done when he got released, but dude's still bringing the heat. And can we talk about Isaiah Rodgers for a second? He's still one of the top CBs in the league 🀩.

But you gotta feel for Darius Slay, man... he's having a tough time in Pittsburgh πŸ˜”. I know it's not his fault, but you wish your former teammates would have given him more support when he was with the Eagles. On the flip side, Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton are crushing it on their new teams πŸš€! And Bryce Huff's been solid for Baltimore.

One thing that's got me thinking is how some of our guys seem to be in better situations than they were with us πŸ€”. I'm not trying to put down the Eagles, but sometimes you gotta take a hard look at your own team and see if you can improve things before making moves. Just my two cents πŸ’¬.

πŸ˜• I'm kinda surprised that Josh Sweat is doing so well in Arizona... he was always good but didn't seem like the kind of player who'd go 10 and 8 ( sacks). Still pretty impressive tho πŸ€” what's got him playing like this? πŸ€‘ Is it just a better team or is there something specific about the cardinals' defense that's making him stand out? 🚨

🀣 Can you believe Darius Slay's QB rating is like my aunt's gossip game – it just gets worse every week πŸ˜‚! On a serious note, I'm loving how Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton are killing it with their new teams. I mean, who wouldn't want to play for the Patriots or Chargers? 🀣 It's like they're getting all the good snacks in the locker room πŸΏπŸ‘€

I'm low-key worried about Kenny Pickett πŸ€”. He's got all the skills but just can't seem to find his groove with the Browns and Raiders πŸ’”. Maybe Geno Smith's backup role is exactly what he needed to get back on track? 🀞 But seriously, Eagles fans were counting on him to make an impact after that trade 😬

I'm kinda surprised at how some of these ex-Eagles players are doing πŸ€”. I mean, Josh Sweat is killing it with the Cardinals, and C.J. Gardner-Johnson's performance in Chicago was solid πŸ’ͺ. But on the other hand, Isaiah Rodgers' numbers have dipped a bit since joining the Vikings... he's still pretty good though 😐.

And what's up with Darius Slay in Pittsburgh? He's getting torched by QBs πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. I don't get why they traded him away from Philly. He was a key contributor, and now he's struggling to make an impact in the Steel City 🚫.

I do love seeing Milton Williams and Mekhi Becton doing well with their new teams though πŸ™Œ. They're getting some quality reps and contributing to their squads πŸ‘. And Kenny Gainwell's rotational role in Pittsburgh is a good move - he'll get his chance to shine when the team needs him πŸ•°οΈ.

It's also cool to see some of these ex-Eagles players finding their footing with new teams πŸ’ͺ. Avonte Maddox, for example, is providing great depth for the Lions πŸ‘Š. And Thomas Booker IV's been a solid contributor off the bench for the Raiders πŸ’Ό.

I was just thinking about this weird thing that happened on my last trip to Tokyo πŸ—ΊοΈ... I saw this huge line of people waiting to try some random food from this tiny street vendor. And I'm like "what's the deal with that?" πŸ˜‚ But then I ended up trying it and OMG, it was life-changing! πŸ˜‹ I mean, have you ever had ramen noodles at 3 am? 🀯 It's a whole different level of deliciousness.

And speaking of food, did you know that there's this one restaurant in LA that serves the best burgers in the world? πŸ”πŸ‘€ Apparently, they use some kind of special sauce that makes all the difference. I've been meaning to try it out, but I keep forgetting πŸ˜….

Sweat is killin it with 8 sacks in 10 games πŸ’ͺ🏽! Arizona's getting some big plays from him. On the other hand, Slay's been gettin hit hard by Steelers QBs 🀯. I'm not surprised since he's a great CB but the new team just isn't clickin'. CJGJ's on fire with 2 sacks and a forced fumble against the Giants 🎯. He was always a solid player, just didn't fit in Philly. Rodgers' numbers are still up there, but you can tell he's missin that Eagles chemistry πŸ”₯. And poor Kenny Pickett... gotta wonder what went wrong with him gettin traded away πŸ’”
