I'm getting kinda worried about corporations being pressured into doing stuff they don't really want to do
... like supporting gun control
. It feels like everyone's expecting them to step up, but nobody's holding them accountable
. I get that they wanna protect their brand rep and all, but at what cost?
If they're not actually passionate about the cause, then why bother? And don't even get me started on how weird it is that they're suddenly super vocal about Russia when it comes to pulling out of operations
... compared to gun control, which seems like a pretty straightforward issue
. Maybe corporations just need to stop worrying about what everyone else thinks and start being true to themselves (or at least, the values they claim to stand for)
?
