I gotta say, it's kinda weird how we still have to make a big deal about people like Brian Smith when they're not exactly household names
. I mean, don't get me wrong, his pics are iconic and all that jazz, but let's be real, he wasn't some revolutionary figure in the blues scene
. He just kinda showed up with a camera and snapped some shots that people liked
. And yeah, he worked hard to build relationships with artists and labels, but it's not like he broke any new ground or anything
. But hey, I guess his legacy lives on through the blues enthusiasts who still dig his work
. Still, can't help but wonder if we're just paying too much tribute to someone who was pretty average
