Ugh, can you believe this? Insurers taking advantage of people who've just lost a loved one?
I mean, 15% increase in car insurance quote is just ridiculous! Those poor widows and widowers are already dealing with so much emotional pain and stress without having to worry about their premiums being skyrocketed. And what's with the lack of transparency from Ageas? Not explaining why Kay Lawley's premiums were increasing? That's just insensitive.
And don't even get me started on these complex algorithms that are supposed to analyze all sorts of factors... who gets to decide what's 'high risk' anyway?
It sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. I think regulators and government should step in and make some changes, for starters. We need more transparency and fairness in these insurance companies. And maybe, just maybe, we can get them to treat their customers with a bit more humanity...
