Attention party hosts: Super Bowl snacks cost a little more this year

Super Bowl Party Hosts Take a Hit in the Wallet This Year

The average cost of hosting a Super Bowl party at home has increased by a small margin, despite the more expensive tickets for fans attending the big game in person. According to Wells Fargo's annual Super Bowl Food Report, the total bill for snacks and drinks will now cost around $140 per ten people, up just 1.6% from last year.

One reason behind this slight increase is the higher cost of shrimp, which has risen by a whopping 8.1%, averaging about $9.10 per pound. This comes after years of abundant supply led to lower prices for the seafood staple. Chicken wings, on the other hand, are down 2.7% year-over-year, with each pound costing around $3.47.

However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows when it comes to party snacks. Salsa has seen a significant increase of 1.7%, while onion-flavored dips have jumped by 1.5%. These price hikes are attributed to rising labor costs rather than increased ingredient prices.

While some party staples may be pricier this year, the cost savings from watching the Super Bowl at home will undoubtedly be substantial for many fans.

πŸ€‘πŸΏ Super Bowl parties getting expensive, huh? Guess it's no surprise with shrimp prices on the rise 🐚... 8.1%?! That's crazy! Chicken wings are actually down, but I guess those dips and salsas are taking the hit πŸ’ΈπŸ˜’

omg i'm so done with hosting my own super bowl parties lol i just spent like $200 on chips and dips last year and it was a total headache i mean dont get me wrong i love football and all but the prep work is so stressful 🀯 plus my credit card bill has been getting bigger and bigger every year ugh i think ill just be ordering pizza this year instead πŸ•πŸ˜‚

aww man, hosting a Super Bowl party is already stressful enough, now it seems like we're gonna have to shell out even more cash πŸ€‘πŸ” I feel you, shrimp prices are crazy! and onion-flavored dips? that's just not what I'm in the mood for tonight... but hey at least we can still save some cash by watching from home πŸ’ΈπŸ“Ί

I'm so confused about why the shrimp is getting so expensive πŸ€”! Last year I was like "okay, I can afford 1 pound of shrimp for my party" but now it's like $9.10... that's crazy πŸ˜‚. And don't even get me started on how onion-flavored dips are up 1.5% - what's the deal with that?! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ But hey, I guess it's still gonna be a good time watching the Super Bowl at home and saving money πŸ’Έ. Maybe my friends and I can just make our own snacks instead of buying them from stores... that's an idea 😊.

I remember when my dad used to host these epic Super Bowl parties back in the day and we'd just have like, chips and dip or something 🀣. Now it seems like every single snack is gonna break the bank! 1.6% might not sound like a lot but trust me, that adds up quick. And shrimp? who knew they were gonna be so expensive all of a sudden? 🐚 my uncle used to buy like a whole bag for under $10 and now it's like $9.10?! crazy right?

Super Bowl parties r still gonna b lit! πŸŽ‰ I mean, sure, snacks might cost a teensy bit more this yr, but think about it - u get to enjoy all ur fave foods from the comfort of ur own home w/ no need 2 deal w/ crazy stadium lines & security checks πŸ˜‚. Plus, hosting a party at home can actually be pretty budget-friendly if u do ur research on recipes & planning ahead πŸ€‘. And let's not forget about the fun factor - who needs expensive tickets when u can have a blast with friends n family in ur own living room? 🀩

omg u guyz! i cant bliev the super bowl party host bills r goin up lol 🀣 like 1.6% isnt much but its stil $$$ $$ $$$$ πŸ€‘ especially with shrimp costinz like crazy rn $9.10 per lb is like, whoa 🀯 and dont even get me started on salsa n onion dips lol 2.7% decrease on chicken wings tho? that's actually a lil good news πŸ—πŸ‘ but yeah still gotta watch out for those party snacks prices πŸ€‘

omg i cant even believe its gonna cost more to host a super bowl party this yr! like $140 for 10 ppl? that's insane 🀯 shrimp prices are through the roof too lol what's up with that?! chicken wings are down tho so thats a lil saving gr8, but salsa and dips are up lol guess we gotta shell out even more for guac 🍿 anyway, still def worth it coz lets be real who needs tickets when u can host ur own super bowl party at home?

I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit bummed out when I read that hosting a Super Bowl party is gonna be 1.6% more expensive this year πŸ€• But then I thought, 'wait a minute... that's still super reasonable!' Like, who needs to go all the way to the stadium just for $5 extra in snacks? πŸ˜‚ Plus, think of all the money you'll save on transportation and accommodations! That 1.6% increase can add up to some major savings, and it's not like anyone's breaking the bank to host a party at home πŸ€‘

omg i feel u guys 🀯 hosting a super bowl party can get so expensive but its always worth it! $140 for 10 ppl is still pretty affordable if u ask me lol did they mention any discounts or promos on snacks tho? shrimp prices are crazy high πŸšπŸ’Έ i guess its no wonder they went up. chicken wings being cheaper sounds like a major win for partygoers πŸˆπŸ—

ugh, i dont get why people need an excuse to break the bank πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ like, i'm happy to cook my own snacks instead of buying them just because its super bowl sunday lol. and 8.1% increase on shrimp is a bit steep even for me πŸ€‘. but hey, at least its not as bad as last year when prices were going crazy πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. also, labor costs are a thing now? it feels like everything is just getting more expensive 🀯. anyway, i'm still gonna watch the game and enjoy some homemade nachos πŸ‘

πŸ€” I'm surprised that the cost of hosting a Super Bowl party isn't going through the roof with ticket prices! πŸ€‘ I mean, $140 per 10 people is still pretty reasonable, especially when you consider how much cheaper it is to just watch from home. I guess those shrimp are a pricey beast, but overall it's not too bad. Maybe we can just blame that on labor costs? πŸ’Ό Either way, I'm sticking with my own Super Bowl party at home this year – no need to break the bank! 🏈

omg can you believe how much more expensive everything is gonna be at those super bowl parties 🀯 i mean like yeah shrimp is pricey but it's not even that surprising. we've been seeing inflation everywhere else so why shouldn't food prices follow suit? and don't even get me started on the labor costs, that just sounds like a nice way of saying corporations are taking advantage of us πŸ‘€

I'm so confused about these snack prices πŸ€”. Like, I get that shrimp is expensive and all, but $9.10 per pound? That's insane! And don't even get me started on onion-flavored dips - 1.5% increase? What even is the point of those? πŸ˜‚ But at least we can just chill at home with our fave snacks and not have to shell out for stadium seats...or a lot of money, lol! πŸ€‘

ugh I was really looking forward to that $50 a head spread but now it's gonna be like $140 and that's just not cool πŸ€•πŸ’Έ like what happened to shrimp prices? 8.1% is crazy! and now salsa is up 1.7% too... I guess I'll just have to wing it (get it?) with some store-bought chips instead of making my own from scratch πŸŸπŸ‘Ž

I'm not surprised to hear that the cost of hosting a Super Bowl party is on the rise πŸ€”. I mean, have you seen the prices of those fancy snacks they're serving up on TV during the game? $140 for 10 people is still pretty reasonable, but if you ask me, it's the little things like salsa and onion-flavored dips that are really adding to the bill πŸ€‘. Labor costs, eh? I guess that makes sense. Anyway, I'm all about the savings of having a Super Bowl party at home - no need to worry about parking or ticket prices! Plus, you can just make your own snacks without breaking the bank πŸ’Έ. Bring on the nachos and wings, I say!

OMG I'm literally still reeling from this news 🀯! $140 for 10 people? That's crazy! And don't even get me started on shrimp 🦐 it's like they're pricing us out of our own homes! But you know what really gets my goat? The labor costs thing... it just feels so fake, like corporations are trying to screw us over πŸ’Έ. Can't we just have a decent party without breaking the bank?! I mean, who needs that fancy dip when you can just make your own, am I right? πŸ˜‚ Anyway, think I'll be having a potluck this year πŸ€ͺ

ugh my super bowl party planning is gonna be a total disaster 🀯😩 i was really looking forward to a chill day with friends but now i gotta shell out way more cash for snacks... $140 per 10 people? that's like, crazy! πŸ‘€ especially since the actual game is only on tv πŸ˜…

πŸ€‘ I'm not surprised to see the Super Bowl party bill go up a bit this year, but $140 for 10 people is still pretty reasonable in my book πŸ€”. The shrimp price hike does seem steep though - I remember when we used to get it for like half that amount back in the day! 😳 Guess you can't have cheap and fresh all at once. Still, chicken wings being cheaper is a bonus, and those onion-flavored dips aren't so bad either 🀀. All in all, it's just one of those things where everything else gets more expensive, but we can still find ways to enjoy the game without breaking the bank πŸ’Έ.
