An Insider’s Guide to Culver City, Los Angeles

Culver City: A Thriving Westside Gem Where Hollywood Meets High-End Dining

While often overshadowed by its coastal neighbors, this unassuming Westside neighborhood boasts a unique blend of upscale dining options and cultural attractions that solidify its status as one of LA's most sought-after addresses.

For cocktail enthusiasts, Culver City offers a dizzying array of sophisticated drinking dens – from moody speakeasies to modern wine bars. Beyond the culinary delights, Culver City boasts an impressive museum and theater scene, making it a haven for culture vultures. The Platform offers unparalleled shopping experiences, while outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy breathtaking views at the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook. Whether you're looking to explore the best of LA or seeking a convenient base for your stay, this insider's guide will help you uncover the hidden gems and secrets that make Culver City an unforgettable destination.

Ugh, I'm so over the hype around Culver City! 🙄 Don't get me wrong, I love a good drink at Broken Spanish Comedor or Saijo Handroll as much as the next person, but it's like they're trying too hard to be LA's "coolest" neighborhood. And two-Michelin-starred Vespertine? Come on! 🤣 That place is just a fancy restaurant with an inflated ego. I mean, Jordan Kahn's skills are no doubt impressive, but $500+ dinner for three people? Please! 😂 At the end of the day, it's just another example of LA's ridiculous gentrification problems.

On the other hand, I do love that they're trying to bring in some new restaurants and shops. Citizen Public Market may be gone, but I'm rooting for Broken Spanish and Saijo to fill the void! 🤞 And the outdoor spots? Totally underrated – have you seen those views at Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook?! 💥 Breathtaking, for sure.

All in all, Culver City's got its moments, but let's not forget it's still just a part of LA.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this thread... like, a whole 2 days late lol 😂. Anyway, I gotta say, I've been to Culver City like, twice in my life and it's always been underrated, you know? People go on about Silverlake and Venice being the hippest places, but Culver City is like the OG cool kid of LA. The food scene is insane, from that amazing Broken Spanish to Saijo Handroll... I mean, have you tried their handrolls?! 🤤. And don't even get me started on Vespertine, two Michelin stars? yeah, no kidding! 🙌. But what really draws me to Culver City is the vibe - it's like a perfect blend of old Hollywood glamour and modern Westside chic. I love how they've got this mix of art galleries, indie shops, and high-end restaurants... it's just so LA. 😎

OMG, I just saw that new restaurant Saijo Handroll in Culver City 🍜👀 and it looks SO good! I love trying out new foodie spots, but I have no idea how they got a two-Michelin-star... does that even exist outside of NYC? 🤔 And what's with all these speakeasies in LA? Are those like secret bars or something? 😏 Can someone tell me where to find one that's not too hard to get into? 🤗

🤕 just saw that Vespertine has a 4-month waitlist now lol what's the point even? all these fancy restaurants are pushing people away from trying new things. meanwhile, Broken Spanish Comedor is still open 🙄 and it's way more chill than some of those overpriced Michelin-starred places...

I don’t usually comment but... Culver City feels like it’s getting lost in its own awesomeness 🤯. I mean, two Michelin stars for a restaurant? That's crazy talk! And have you seen the nightlife here? Broken Spanish Comedor is giving me major speakeasy vibes 🍹🕰️. But what really gets me excited is how accessible it all is – I can easily take public transport to get around or drive if I need to, no drama at all 🚗💨. The foodie scene might have had a hiccup with Citizen Public Market's closure, but new spots like Saijo Handroll are doing great things for the community 👌. Overall, Culver City feels like LA’s best-kept secret – and I'm not sure why more people aren't flocking to it yet 🤔👀.

I'm loving how Culver City is becoming more than just a residential neighborhood! It's amazing how they're bringing back some of those closed spots like Broken Spanish Comedor, I was getting so sad when I heard Citizen Public Market shut down 🤕🍴. But it's awesome to see new spots popping up and offering something for everyone - from casual eats to fancy restaurants. And have you been to the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook lately? The views are stunning! 🌄 It really is a gem of the Westside, I've been lucky enough to spend some quality time there with my family 👪. They're doing such a great job of balancing old and new, keeping it authentic while still bringing in fresh energy 💡. Can't wait to go back and explore more! 🤗

Wow 🤩, I'm loving how Culver City is becoming the ultimate foodie haven in LA! The mix of old-school Hollywood vibes and high-end dining options sounds absolutely amazing. And Vespertine is like, wow, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant right there? 😍

I was thinking about visiting Culver City soon 🤔. I've heard mixed things about it though - like how crowded it gets? My sister went there with friends a few years ago and said they had a blast, but also mentioned that parking was super tough. Anyone else had similar issues? 👀

omg u gotta check out broken spanish comedor!! their sangria is life 🍷😍 i went there with friends last weekend and it was literally the best meal ever! 2 michelin stars from jordan kahn is no joke, but even without that pressure, vespertine still serves up some crazy good food 🤩
