. A show that's trying to tone down Game of Thrones but still wants to be part of the same franchise is just going to feel like a watered-down version. I mean, what's the point of watching Dunk get into jousting tournaments when you know there's going to be more drama and death later on? It's just setting unrealistic expectations for viewers. And don't even get me started on how it's trying to appeal to non-fantasy fans who will probably still end up getting sucked in because it's based on a bestselling book series 
. It's like they're trying to make a product that's both boring and exciting at the same time, but honestly, I'm just not feeling it
