‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Cast Guide: Who’s Who in the ‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel?

Meet Westeros' newest characters in HBO's latest 'Game of Thrones' prequel, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms". The series is a departure from the serious politics and dragon battles of the previous shows, instead focusing on a lowly hedge knight named Ser Duncan the Tall (played by Peter Claffey) as he navigates his journey through knighthood.

Ser Duncan, aka Dunk, is joined on this adventure by a young squire named Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), who becomes an integral part of his life. The two form an unlikely but strong bond, with Dunk learning valuable lessons from Egg about leadership and loyalty.

One of the most intriguing aspects of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" is its diverse cast of characters. There's Ser Arlan of Pennytree (Danny Webb), a wise and experienced hedge knight who becomes a mentor to Dunk; Raymun Fossoway (Shaun Thomas), a charming but slightly arrogant knight who harbors secrets; Steffon Fossoway (Edward Ashley), the cousin of Raymun, who is also a skilled knight; Lyonel Baratheon (Daniel Ings), a charismatic and confident knight from House Baratheon; Tanselle (Tanzyn Crawford), a Dornish puppeteer with a mysterious past; Aerion Targaryen (Finn Bennett), the second eldest son of Prince Maekar Targaryen, who harbors ambitions to claim the Iron Throne; Baelor Targaryen (Bertie Carvel), the eldest son of King Daeron II Targaryen, and his brother Maekar Targaryen (Sam Spruell), a skilled army commander.

Throughout the series, these characters navigate their own struggles and conflicts as they strive to become the knights they aspire to be. With its rich world-building, complex characters, and engaging storylines, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" promises to deliver an unforgettable viewing experience for fans of 'Game of Thrones'.

I don’t usually comment but I just binged this new Game of Thrones prequel and I gotta say, it's really grown on me. The characters are so much more relatable than the main ones from the original show 🤷‍♂️. I mean, Ser Duncan is just a regular guy trying to make a name for himself as a knight, you know? And Egg, his squire, is like a lovable sidekick 🤣. The way they balance each other out and learn from each other is really cute.

And can we talk about the cast of characters? I love how diverse it is 👥. There's this one guy, Raymun Fossoway, who seems all confident on the outside but has these secret demons 😬. And then there's Lyonel Baratheon, who's just so charming and charismatic 🤩.

I don't know if it's gonna replace the original show for me, but I can see why people would be excited about this prequel. The world-building is solid and the storylines seem engaging 📺. Maybe it'll even convert some of those people who didn't like GoT initially 💯?

I'm loving this new prequel! 🤩 It's so refreshing to see a change from all the intense politics and dragon battles. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a show about knights on horses? 😂 It's like a whole different world. And I love how they're mixing up the cast with these diverse characters - it's like they're setting the stage for something big! 🤔 Dunk and Egg's friendship is so cute too, I'm shipping them already ❤️. Can't wait to see what other adventures these knights get themselves into 💪

OMG I'm soooo stoked for this new prequel series lol I've been waiting like forever for some decent character development outside of the usual Game of Thrones drama 😂 and it sounds like Dunk's journey is going to be everything I need - a complex, lovable, and slightly awkward hero 🤣 who learns valuable lessons from his squire Egg. I'm also super here for the diverse cast of characters, especially Aerion Targaryen, who's got major throne-grabbing ambitions 💁‍♂️👑 I'm loving the rich world-building too, it sounds like they're going to explore some really interesting themes and conflicts in this series. Fingers crossed they don't make me cry too much 😭

🤔 I just finished watching this new prequel and I gotta say, I'm loving it so far! Dunk's storyline is super relatable, you know? Who hasn't felt like they're not good enough or that they don't quite fit in? 😂 The way he and Egg form a bond is really beautiful, and I love how the show explores their relationships. The cast of characters is also insane - I'm obsessed with Raymun's character already! 🤣 And can we talk about the Targaryen siblings for a sec? Baelor and Maekar are giving me all the feels... they're so complex and intriguing. 💁‍♂️ One thing that did bug me is how some of the plotlines feel a bit rushed, but I'm willing to let that slide since it's still in its early stages. Overall, I'm hyped for more of this show! 👏

🤔 I'm loving this new direction for Game of Thrones prequels! Dunk's journey as a lowly hedge knight is so interesting, learning about leadership and loyalty from his young squire Egg is a great twist. And can we talk about the diverse cast? 🌎 It's awesome to see knights from different houses and backgrounds, like Lyonel Baratheon's charisma and confidence... or Raymun Fossoway's secrets. The world-building in this series seems so rich too! I'm excited to dive into the storylines of these characters and see how they navigate their struggles. Maybe we'll even get some hints about the future of Westeros? 🤞

aww man i'm so excited for this new game of thrones prequel 🤩👑 ser duncan aka dunk is literally my spirit animal lol he's all about being underestimated and proving people wrong. i love how the show is focusing on the growth of these characters and their relationships with each other it's gonna be amazing to see them navigate their own struggles and conflicts. i'm also hyped for the diverse cast of characters, it's so refreshing to see different types of people in a fantasy world 🌎👥

I'm so stoked to see a prequel that's all about the knights and not just about thrones 🙌. It's like they finally got it right – people are more interested in the characters than just the politics and dragon battles. I mean, who doesn't love a good underdog story? Dunk's journey from being a lowly hedge knight to becoming a respected one is so inspiring. And can we talk about how awesome it is that there's a diverse cast of characters? It feels like they're setting up for some amazing conflicts and alliances down the line 🤔.

I'm loving how each character has their own unique personality and storyline. Raymun Fossoway, for example, seems like he's got some major secrets hiding beneath his charming exterior 💁‍♂️. And then there's Aerion Targaryen, who's clearly got ambitions to claim the throne – that's gonna be a wild ride! Overall, I'm hyped for this series and can't wait to see how it all unfolds 📺

omg i cant wait to see Dunk & Egg's adventures on screen! their friendship is literally going to be everything 🤩 ser arlan sounds so cool as a mentor figure too... and the cast is just wow, like who is this guy Aerion Targaryen tho? claims he wants the Iron Throne but has that whole tortured soul vibe going on 💔

I'm so hyped about this new show 🤩! I mean, who doesn't love a good underdog story? Ser Duncan the Tall is literally the most relatable guy ever 😂. And Egg as his squire? Perfect casting, if you ask me 👍. The cast of characters sounds so diverse and interesting, I'm already invested in their journeys 💥. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds... maybe a new twist on the whole knighthood thing 🤔 https://www.hbo.com/a-knight-of-the-seven-kingdoms

I don’t usually comment but... I'm really curious about this new prequel series 🤔. A knight without dragons sounds like a nice change of pace from all the drama and battles in the original show. But what I find interesting is that it seems to focus more on character development and relationships, like a coming-of-age story for these knights. It's also cool that there are so many diverse characters with complex backstories... who knows what secrets they're hiding 🤫? The world-building looks pretty detailed too, I love how it explores the politics and social hierarchy of Westeros. Can't wait to dive in and see where this journey takes Dunk and his friends 👀
