wow Google's actions are super concerning . I mean, deleting someone's whole YouTube account just because they reported on Israel-Palestine issues? That's not right . And now we know it was probably some automated system that flagged their content for deletion... automated systems can be so flawed . We need more transparency and accountability from tech companies when it comes to censorship . It's like, what's the point of having free speech if you're just gonna silence people?

so google decides to delete a british journalist's youtube account out of the blue just because he was documenting israel's occupation of the west bank? sounds like they're more concerned with pleasing their american overlords than preserving press freedom

i mean, come on, if the guy was really affiliated with iran (newsflash: it doesn't necessarily mean his content was pro-iran either) you'd think google would be more careful about flagging his account for deletion. but nope, they just go ahead and delete everything because why not?

and let's talk about the whole "spam or scam" thing... lol what a joke. it's like they're trying to sound smarter than they actually are

anyway, this incident just highlights how big tech companies are basically self-regulated and completely unaccountable when it comes to censorship. i mean, if you can't trust google or youtube with your free speech rights then what's the point of even having those rights?

I THINK THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! ROBERT INLAKESH WAS A RESPECTED JOURNALIST TRYING TO EXPOSE THE TRUTH ABOUT ISRAEL'S HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES AND NOW HIS ENTIRE YOUTUBE ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DELETED WITHOUT WARNING OR EXPLANATION!!!! IT SMELLS LIKE BIG TECH IS TRYING TO COVER UP THE FACTS AND SILENCE PALестINIAN VOICES. AUTOMATED SYSTEMS flagging content as "spam" or "deceptive" just doesn't cut it when it comes to issues like this, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S OBVIOUSLY POLITICAL. WE NEED TO DEMAND GREATER TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM TECH COMPANIES WHEN IT COMES TO CONTENT MODERATION AND CENSORSHIP.
