Philly's Franklin Square Has Reopened for Winter with Festive Lights and Seasonal Delights
The iconic Franklin Square in Philadelphia has officially welcomed winter with open arms, transforming into a magical destination for all ages. The popular park now boasts an enchanting winter edition of the Electrical Spectacle Light Show, which illuminates the square with hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights choreographed to winter music.
To warm up on chilly evenings, visitors can gather around outdoor fire pits and enjoy hot beverages with optional spiked additions. Street curling, a fun twist on the Olympic sport, is also available for booking in 30-minute sessions. Meanwhile, chilly Philly Mini Golf has decked out its course for winter, offering a festive atmosphere until January 25.
For those looking to indulge, Frosty's Fireside Lodge, a heated pop-up bar, is now open during evening hours, serving up handcrafted cocktails and seasonal snacks. SquareBurger remains open throughout the day, offering comfort food with winter-inspired additions. Boozy Ben's "Bengo" returns on Fridays in February, featuring Benjamin Franklin-themed bingo, cocktails for purchase, and $5 bingo cards benefiting Franklin Square.
The park is also hosting several one-night and weekend events throughout the season, including a birthday celebration for Boozy Ben's, Martin Luther King Jr. Service Weekend, Ice Princess Night, Valentine's-themed mini golf, Presidents' Day Quizzo, and a Lunar New Year celebration.

i'm literally so down for this!!! i went to franklin square last winter and it was SOOO magical! 
i loved playing mini golf in the snow (even tho i got like 3 rounds of stroke in a row lol) and trying all the yummy seasonal snacks 
. but omg have u tried their hot cocoa?!? 
it's literally life changing!!! i also loved watching the light show, it was soooo pretty 
. can't wait to go back this winter! do u think they'll have any fun events besides bingo tho? like maybe a movie night or something?

It's like stepping into a holiday movie! But I gotta ask, why not go all out and add some retro games or activities that'd bring back the nostalgia of past winters here? Like, have they considered hosting a vintage ice skating rink or something?! 
Still, it's great to see Philly getting into the holiday spirit!
