Ukraine deploying their special forces is like throwing good money after bad

- what's the point of risking lives if they can't even get a clear win? Moscow's claims of success are probably just propaganda

and Ukraine should stop trying to save face. I think Russia is playing it smart, wearing them down with small victories so they don't have to commit to a full-scale invasion.
The fact that Ukraine thinks they're carrying the main burden is just wishful thinking

- Moscow's got some serious firepower on their side. If things go south for Ukraine in Pokrovsk, it'll be like watching a train wreck

- you can see it coming but you still hope someone jumps in to stop it.
Control of that city would give Russia an awesome bargaining chip in the peace talks - and let's be real, they're not exactly known for their scruples
