Two men sentenced to prison for 2022 carjacking of a FedEx truck in Grays Ferry

This guy's plan was literally foiled by someone being paid $5k, I mean what else can you do when you're trying to get involved in that kinda thing? 22 years is fair tho, he was really reckless and put lives at risk. It's crazy how much damage that one truck could've caused if Byrd had gotten away with it

just can't believe how reckless some ppl r 🤯. 22 yrs in prison is way too easy 4 someone who put innocent lives at risk, especially FedEx driver who didn't even wanna hand over the package 💸. u gotta feel bad 4 the dude who got caught up in Byrd's scheme, Dixon got a decent sentence tho 🕰️. byrd's punishment should've been harsher tbh ⚠️. this kind of carjacking is super rare & usually it's the ppl on the inside who get away with it 🤥. anyway, glad that law enforcement was able to swoop in & save the day 👮‍♂️

I mean... 22 years in prison is pretty harsh for this guy, but I guess you gotta consider the amount of cocaine he was involved with - $500k worth! 🤑 It's crazy how much that stuff can be worth. Anyway, what really got me thinking is that carjackings like this are so reckless and senseless. Like, what's the point of putting yourself in danger just to get a package? And then you gotta consider all the people involved, like the FedEx driver who refused to hand over the package... he was basically a hero for not giving it up! 🙌

And I'm curious, how did Byrd think his plan would work out? Like, did he really think he could just carjack a truck with $500k worth of cocaine and get away with it? It's like, what about the risks? What about the consequences? Did he not care about any of that? 🤔

I guess this sentence is trying to send a message that these kinds of actions aren't gonna fly in Philly. But at the same time, you gotta wonder if 22 years is really enough punishment for something like this... it's a pretty tough call to make! 😬

.. 22 years in prison for trying to get his hands on some sick cocaine 😂🚗💸. I mean, who needs that kinda stress in their life? It's like he wanted to make a dramatic entrance into retirement or something 🤣. Anyway, I guess you could say he got 'Fed' up with the law (get it?) 😉. On a more serious note, glad they caught him and his accomplice before anyone got hurt... or worse, lost their package 📦😂

.. 22 years for this dude? That's crazy 🤯. I mean, I get it, he committed a serious crime, put lives at risk, and thought he could just drive off with that truck full of coke... but 22 years feels like way too long to me. It's like, is the man even going to see his family grow up? Is he ever gonna experience freedom again?

And what about all the people who got caught in the middle of this mess? The FedEx driver, the police officers, the innocent bystanders who just happened to be on the street when it went down... they're all still dealing with the aftermath. It's like, where does that sense of justice even come from?

I guess what I'm saying is, we gotta question whether 22 years really is enough punishment for someone like Byrd. Is it a deterrent? Does it make his community safer? Or is it just another example of how our system can be broken and unfair at the same time 🤔

Ugh 🤕 22 years is still too short imo... thinks he got lucky he didn't get the death penalty 😬. FedEx truck with $500k worth of coke? that's like, a whole lotta heat 🔥. How many lives could've been lost if he actually carried out his plan? 🤯 and 10 years of supervised release is just a slap on the wrist 💁‍♂️. Byrd's gonna have to sit in prison for a looong time before he even thinks about getting out, let alone distributing more coke 🚫. Poor FedEx driver who had to deal with this whole ordeal 😩.
