Today’s Wordle #1671 Hints And Answer For Thursday, January 15

Wordle Wednesday may be over, but Thursday has arrived, and it's time to tackle today's Wordle. Yesterday's special riddle was a clever one - "Day after day, I cut and I cut, a thousand thousand cuts I've made, but never drawn blood." The answer? A hairstylist or a barber.

On to today's challenge! We're starting with a word hint that sounds like a fissure - the Wordle ends with an obvious vowel. To help you out, we have a starting word of COURT (72 letters remaining) and our trusty Wordle Bot analysis guide.

In Competitive Wordle terms, guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worthless; guessing in 5 is -1 points; and missing the word is -3 points. Fridays are 2XP, doubling your score for that day.

Now, let's look at today's Wordle answer. The final image reveals the answer: CHASM. A beautiful word indeed. How did our starting word COURT lead to this outcome? Well, it seems I had a "split decision" between CHAIR and CHASM on my second guess. As luck would have it, CHASM was the correct solution.

With that settled, we see how Erik (that's me) scored in Competitive Wordle today, with 3 points. Our rival, the Wordle Bot, scored the same amount, so we tied once again. The score remains wide open for now.

Here are a few more tidbits from today's game: CHASM comes from Greek khasma, meaning "yawning hollow" or "gaping opening." It entered English via Late Latin chasma, retaining its sense of deep, open fissures.

The Wordle Bot scores and analysis remain the same as yesterday - great tools for improving your puzzle-solving skills. I hope you enjoyed today's challenge!

I'm so hyped for Thursday already! 🤩 Just looked at the stats on my Wordle journey, and it's crazy to see how far I've come. This week alone, I've guessed over 50 words in one go 🤯, with a 75% success rate. The most common word I'm guessing is indeed "house" - I mean, who doesn't love houses? 🏠 But seriously, it's amazing to see how the Wordle Bot analysis has helped me crack some tough puzzles.

By the way, did you know that CHASM has been a popular answer in recent weeks? 💡 It's like people are really into ancient Greek words today. Also, can we talk about how much I love the new Wordle graphics? 🎨 They're so sleek and modern! Anyway, back to the stats - my word guessing speed has improved by 20% over the past month, which is pretty cool if I do say so myself 😎.

Oh, and one more thing: have you noticed how Fridays are really taking off in terms of Wordle scores? 🚀 It's like people go into bonus mode or something. My score on Friday was a whopping 10 points higher than usual - maybe it's the coffee 💥!

ooh i'm so done with wordle wednesdays lol 🤣 but thursday is still here and i'm ready to tackle it 🤔 i love how erik explained the process of guessing CHASM from COURT, it makes total sense now that he broke it down 💡 72 letters remaining was a good challenge too 🎯 i'm glad our starting word led him to the correct solution, even if it took a few guesses 👍

🤔 i think its kinda cool that wordle has special wednesday days now, but idk how long it'll last maybe they'll just stick to thursday? 🕰️ anyway, chasm is a pretty deep word, i mean literally... who knew it came from greek? 📚 and 3 points is okay for erik, not bad at all! but lol the scoring system can be kinda weird, i mean what's up with -1 points for guessing in 5? 😂

omg i love how wordle wednesday is finally over but thursday has arrived 🤩 can't wait to try out court as a starting word, but i'm already kinda stumped lol what's up with the hint about a fissure tho? sounds kinda weird... anyway, glad we got chasm as the answer 💯

omg i'm so confused about how COURT led to CHASM 🤔👀 is it because of the word 'cut' or something? 💇‍♀️ and btw, 72 letters remaining is a looong time 😂 does anyone know if we can use common words like SHARP or SLICE to help us guess? 🤷‍♀️

LOL what a drag that CHASM answer is gonna make it super hard 2 get 3 stars on Thursdays 😂 gotta guess in one now 🤯 COURT was def a good starting word tho 👍 the Greek origin story tho is fire 🔥 who else knew chasma was related to gaping openings? 💡

🤔 Hmm, CHASM being the answer? It seems kinda obvious, ya know? 72 letters remaining in COURT? That's a pretty big lead 😂. And all that analysis about Greek and Latin roots? Sounds like just an excuse to sound smart 📚. I mean, what really led Erik (the author) to guess CHASM correctly? That split decision between CHAIR and CHASM was definitely lucky 💸. And what's up with the scoring system? 3 points for a single correct answer? Not exactly thrilling 🏆.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how COURT led to CHASM 🤯. Like, what's the connection between a haircutting tool and an open fissure? 😂 Either way, I guess it was a pretty interesting puzzle (pun intended). The Wordle Bot is always helpful in breaking down the clues, but I love how it leaves room for human intuition - like that split decision 🤔. Anyway, another game well played! 👏

omg i'm loving how wordle keeps us guessing 😂🤔 i was so close on my second guess too, but i didn't think of chasm being a possibility 🤷‍♀️ the word hint about the fissure made me think of a crack or something entirely different lol. anyway, erik here is still the reigning champ (just kidding kinda) and it's all good that the score is still up for grabs 💪

Wow 🤯 that CHASM answer is so clever, I can see how COURT could lead to it 👀 especially with the hint about a fissure 💡 my favorite part was learning about its Greek origin and meaning - yawn-ing hollow, haha pretty cool 😎

omg so close tho 🤯 i was like 5 letters off from COURT lol but CHASM makes total sense now, especially with that hint about being a fissure 💡 i love how the Wordle Bot works its magic too, it's crazy to see how it helped you narrow down the possibilities 👀 can't wait for tomorrow's challenge 🎉

😊🤔 so wordle is still going strong 🎉 like how do they come up with these riddles tho? yesterday's was so clever, hairdresser or barber, who knew? 💇‍♀️👨 and now chasm, that's deep 🔍 i love how the bot scores work too, it's always good to have some friendly competition 👊 can't wait to see what tomorrow brings 🤞
