Timberwolves give up double-digit fourth-quarter lead, lose to Jazz

In a stunning turn of events, the Minnesota Timberwolves squandered a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, allowing the Utah Jazz to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The Jazz's Keyonte George delivered a career-high 43 points, while Jusuf Nurkic chipped in with his second triple-double of the season, capping off a thrilling comeback.

The Timberwolves held a 15-point advantage heading into the final quarter, but the Jazz staged an impressive resurgence, fueled by Ace Bailey's 20 points and Isaiah Collier's 18 points and 10 assists. The Utah squad's bench proved to be the difference-maker, as they outscored their opponents 11-2 in the fourth quarter.

However, Anthony Edwards' 38-point performance couldn't be enough to prevent the Timberwolves from falling short. Julius Randle added 19 points, while Rudy Gobert contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds before being ejected for elbowing Nurkic in the face.

The Jazz's victory marked coach Will Hardy's 100th career win, but it also put an end to a four-game losing streak. The Timberwolves' defeat dropped them to 27-17 on the season, while the Jazz improved to 15-29.

With Lauri Markkanen and Kevin Love missing the game due to injury, the Jazz's lineup was severely depleted. However, their young guns shone bright, with Bailey and Collier leading the charge.

Omg what a game!!! I'm still shook that the Jazz came back from 15 points down 🤯💥. Keyonte George is on fire right now! And Ace Bailey's 20 points were huge, his shooting is so clutch 💪. Can't believe Rudy got ejected though 😒. Coach Will Hardy getting win #100 is crazy tho 🎉. Timberwolves need to figure out why they can't close out games like this 🤔. Maybe it's time for them to shake up their lineup?

🤯 what a crazy game! I'm still in shock that the Timberwolves blew such a big lead 🤦‍♂️. Keyonte George is on fire right now, 43 points is insane 🔥. And I love how young guns like Bailey and Collier stepped up for their team, they're gonna be superstars soon 💪. But can't say the same for Edwards and Randle, both had big games but couldn't save the day 😔. The Jazz's bench was on point though, that 11-2 run in the fourth quarter was clutch 🎯.

Wow 🤯! I mean, what a comeback by the Utah Jazz! 15 points down in the 4th quarter and they still manage to pull it off? Ace Bailey and Isaiah Collier were on fire 🔥! And Keyonte George's career-high 43 points sealed the deal for them. The Timberwolves just can't seem to get out of their own way 😅. Coach Will Hardy's 100th win is a big milestone, though... interesting 👀

man that was crazy!!! the jazz just won like they were down by 30 points or something lol how did george just put up 43 points?!?? i gotta give it to them tho, their bench played HUGE! collier's 10 assists too?! meanwhile, edwards and julius randle couldn't get it done. what's going on with the timberwolves? they're supposed to be one of the top teams in the west now but they're struggling

🏀😱 "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." But in this case, I think it's more like "the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry" - those Timberwolves had a solid plan but their execution just fell short. 🤦‍♂️ Still, can't fault the Jazz for pulling off that epic comeback! 💥
