Swiss resort Crans-Montana, scene of fatal bar fire, will be an Olympic venue in 2038

i'm kinda surprised they're gonna go ahead with hosting the olympics in crans-montana after that crazy bar fire... like, 40 people lost their lives 🤕 it's just not the same vibe as having a big event here when so many ppl were affected by tragedy. plus, i mean, we all know how these things can happen with electrical malfunctions and stuff... so yeah, i get why they wouldn't wanna spend taxpayer cash on new venues, but still, can't help feel like it's all just kinda overshadowed by the whole bar fire thing 🤔

ugh... 40 people died in that bar fire and now they're just gonna use it as a venue for the Olympics? that's so messed up 🤕 Switzerland is all about money, I'm sure the owners are already planning to turn this into a tourist trap and cash in on the tragedy. and what's with the IOC giving them privileged status again? like, don't they have anything better to do than just hand over hosting duties to whoever wants it? the fact that it's not gonna cost taxpayer money is just a way of saying "we're not taking responsibility for this mess" 🤑
