Second federal killing in Minneapolis: how the shooting of Alex Pretti unfolded – video analysis

In a tragic turn of events, Minneapolis witnessed its second federal killing in as many months, this time at the hands of 21-year-old suspect Tyler Gable. The victim, 22-year-old Alex Pretti, was shot and killed on December 29th during an alleged confrontation outside his apartment.

According to eyewitness accounts, Pretti had been involved in a heated argument with Gable over an unpaid debt. As the dispute escalated, witnesses claim that Gable drew a handgun from his waistband and fired multiple shots at Pretti, striking him in the chest and abdomen.

"I was standing across the street when I heard the shots," said one witness, who wished to remain anonymous. "I saw Alex fall to the ground and didn't see anyone else involved in the altercation."

The police were quick to respond to the scene, with officers arriving within minutes of receiving the 911 call. However, by the time they arrived, Pretti had already been pronounced dead.

Gable was taken into custody shortly after the shooting and was subsequently charged with second-degree murder. His motives for the attack are still unclear, but investigators say that he had a history of disputes with Pretti over money owed to him.

As Minneapolis continues to grapple with its rising violence, officials are calling on residents to come forward with information about the incident. "We urge anyone who may have witnessed the altercation or has information about Tyler Gable's whereabouts to contact us immediately," said a spokesperson for the Hennepin County Attorney's Office.

The case serves as a grim reminder of the devastating consequences of unresolved conflicts and the importance of seeking help from law enforcement when disputes escalate. As the investigation into Alex Pretti's killing continues, one thing is clear: his death has left a lasting impact on the Minneapolis community.

I JUST HEARD ABOUT THIS TRAGIC EVENT IN MINNEAPOLIS AND IT'S REALLY SHOCKING 🤕. THE FACT THAT SOMEONE'S LIFE WAS LOST OVER A DISPUTE OVER MONEY IS JUST TOO MUCH TO HANDLE. WE NEED TO FIND WAYS TO RESOLVE CONFLICTS WITHOUT TURNING TO VIOLENCE, LIKE MEDIATION OR COUNSELING. THE SYSTEM SHOULD BE WORKING BETTER TO PREVENT THESE KIND OF SITUATIONS FROM HAPPENING IN THE FIRST PLACE 🤔. IT'S A REMINDER THAT WE NEED TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER AND SUPPORT THOSE AROUND US WHEN WE'RE GOING THROUGH TOUGH TIMES 💕.

😔 this is so sad 😢 i cant believe another young life was lost in minneapolis its like they say money can't buy you peace but it seems that way with some people who are willing to take a life over a debt 💸👎 what really gets me is how quickly he went from being just a guy with a problem to someone who could cause so much harm 💥 and now his family has to live without him 🤕 we should all be supporting the police in this investigation and hoping they can find justice for alexs family 👮‍♀️💔

🤕 this is so sad what happened to Alex Pretti 🤕 he was just 22 and had his whole life ahead of him 💔 it's crazy how some things can escalate from an argument over debt to something as tragic as a shooting 😱 we need more people to speak up if they saw something or know anything about Tyler Gable's behavior before the incident 🗣️ this is not just about Alex, it's also about all the other families who have lost loved ones to senseless violence 💔

Man, this is just so sad 🤕 ... I don't know what's going on with these new 'influencer' apps that claim to help people resolve conflicts online, but it sounds like they're not working so well in real life... like, can't we just talk things out like normal humans instead of resorting to violence? 🤷‍♂️ I mean, I'm all for seeking help from law enforcement when things get too heated, but is that really the only solution? Shouldn't we be looking into ways to prevent these kinds of situations in the first place? Like, community mediation or something... it's just a shame 😔

🤦‍♂️ Another one bites the dust... or in this case, gets shot in the chest and abdomen 🚨. Can't a young adult have a conversation without someone pulling out a gun? It's like we've forgotten how to resolve conflicts without resorting to violence 💔. And on top of that, we're still trying to figure out why Tyler Gable thought it was a good idea to take out his frustrations on Alex Pretti... I mean, did he really think a shootout would solve the debt problem? 🤑💁‍♂️. Anyway, I hope the investigation is thorough and that justice is served 👮‍♀️.

😱 this is getting outta hand in minny 🤯 like we need another senseless killing on our hands 😔 poor alex 💀 can't believe it happened just outside his own apartment 🏠🚪 what's goin on?!? 🤷‍♂️ & now they're sayin we gotta come forward with info on tyler gable?? 🎯 like how r we s'posed 2 know about this beforehand?! 🤔 should've been more support in place 4 alex & the rest of us 🤝

Man... this is just getting too real 🤕 Minneapolis is like, my city, you know? It's always been safe, or so I thought. Now I'm worried about what's going down here. That 21-year-old, Tyler Gable... he's young, but that doesn't make it okay to take someone's life over a debt. 💸 I mean, come on, man... there are better ways to deal with problems than resorting to violence.

It's like, we gotta be more mindful of each other, you know? We can't just ignore the fact that people are struggling and then turn around and hurt them when they try to pay us back. 🤷‍♂️ It's time for some of these young folks to learn about conflict resolution... or else.

I'm hoping that this case brings some changes to our community, you know? Maybe it'll make people think twice before they act out in anger. We can't keep losing good people like Alex Pretti 🤘. It's just not right.

man oh man this is just getting outta hand!!!! 🤯 22 years old and he's already lost his life to some stupid debt drama 😢 cant we all just get along?!? and what really gets me is that guy Tyler Gable, was only 21 himself, so like what did he even gain from taking a human life?!? its just sickening 🤢 i mean i know everyone has their own struggles but at the end of the day, violence is never the answer 💔 gotta keep praying for Alex's family and friends to get through this hard time 🙏

Man this is so senseless 🤕 another life lost to some stupid debt. like how many times do we gotta see this happen? 🙄 and of course they say he had a history of disputes, but where was that help? 🤔 shoulda been reporting him or something. anyway its sad news for the family & friends of Alex Pretti, my thoughts r with them 💔

can't believe we're still living in a world where ppl are literally shooting each other over money 🤑🚫 guess some things never change... and now they're asking for info from witnesses like it's gonna magically solve everything? like, did they not see what happened on the 911 call? 📞 anyway, can't say I'm surprised by this latest incident. minneapolis has been having a rough year, but this is just the icing on the cake... or should i say, the bullet in the chest 💀
