... what a legend! I mean, who else could you imagine jamming with on stage, just having the time of their lives? The way Sammy Hagar wrote that post, it's clear he felt the same way - like they were two peas in a pod. And can we talk about how cool it is that Weir was all about simplicity and wit? I love that quote from Hagar, "Always the elder, the wise old soul"... it's just so true 
. Anyway, I'm gonna miss seeing Weir around live, but at least his music will keep on going...

what a legend that guy was! their friendship is truly inspiring, you know? like, weir was literally the quiet soul of the grateful dead and hagar was this crazy van halen frontman, but they meshed so well together. i'm kinda bummed they didn't jam more often 
. anyway, it's clear that weir's legacy will live on through his music and the people he touched, like hagar here
